I like to use the Wim Hof breathing exercise as a lead-in to meditation. The exercise helps to drain off the stress of the day which helps to deepen the mediation session.🔱
Great stuff Chris! I usually find that the times when I LEAST feel like meditating (because of a busy schedule or "too stressed") are the times when I moset need it to center myself and tackle any obstacles in my way. For me, it's been a game-changer and so many areas of our life can improve from conscious, "alone time" - meditating, praying, or even just spending time in nature, detached from the chaos of the outside world and electronic distractions. Thanks for taking us on a tour of your meditation pad and your gizmos! I'll have to check some of those out!
I'm Chinese and there're a bible on meditation in China named "太乙金华宗旨" written by Chinese famous immortal DongBin Lv,it was introduced by Carl Gustav Jung and get it published with translated version named "The Secret of Golden Flower". It's definetly worth reading for anyone who is curious about meditation. The nature of meditation described in Buddhism, Hinduism or Chinese Taoism is just identical. The original version of "太乙金华宗旨" is highly recommeded for those read Chinese while The Secret of Golden Flower conveyed the original at about 80% (in my opinion), it's still an excellent translation.
Thanks this was a confirmation that I wasn’t looking for and needed to hear
