Awesome video. I'm a senior who has been finishing my basement. The project is in year 2 and progressing well. The tips for bat insulation were great, especially the splitting behind wire, shaping around outlets, filling holes in studs from wire pass throughs, taping and how to staple. fantastic tips that I didn't know. Thanks

Currently starting to set up my own hangout area in my garage. Putting up insulation and drywall in there but, I’ve never done either before. Sat down and watched this for tips and a beginner’s how to of sorts. Worked perfect for me and is a great video for novice people like myself! Will definitely be checking out more videos to help me along the way!

Didn't know what to buy, that you could cut it to fit, that you stapled it in, nothing, so this video was awesome. Thanks much! If you staple inside the stud you end up compacting the insulation around the edges which lowers the R-value. You need the insulation to fully fill the cavity in order to maintain it's full R-value. Staple on the outside of the stud, it's the way to go. If there's a staple sticking out, pull it out and staple again or use a hammer to sink it in.

Why would there be "no" insulation in your new home? Did you buy an unfinished home, building yourself, or the builders did not insulate?
I purchased a 32' School Bus that they didn't take the time to insulate in "Missouri" (where it snows in the winter! Fortunately, I am in Los Angeles, and staying here until this bus is fully insulated)... Which I find kind of odd, and stupid... When you're taking the time to convert to a RV. So, I'm trying to go back and open up the walls & insulate myself (definitely not as easy as it would've been, when they originally put up the walls). And, I want to do the ceiling as well... I'm a female doing this project on my own 😊 Christina

Is there a way to buy double faced insulation, meaning faced on both sides? We have radiant coated plywood on the inside of the Tuff Shed we got and the Tuff Shed installer said the radiant barrier doesn't breathe like regular plywood and creates moisture. He told us to use the faced / paper side facing the radiant barrier which is the opposite of what is shown in this video. Also, if it's not double faced, then It will be pretty open on the soft side and hopefully not falling around, would that be ok?
