What are some of the most thrilling firsts of a baby? One's definitely when they start to react to a word you say, right? When you say "beautiful eyes? close-open? clap clap clap?" These are some examples of commands or instructions, that will show you that they're starting to understand things you say! Being able to follow commands is such an important early skill. 💡
So if you think your baby's ready, OR if you notice that your child is having trouble understanding your words, here are some tips and demonstrations for exactly that!

Nakaka-kilig kapag biglang napa-"flying kiss" mo na yung anak mo diba? Ito ay isang halimbawa ng skill na "following commands." Sobrang importante nito, kasi isa ito sa mga unang palatandaan na naiintindihan ka na ng bata!
Kung sa palagay niyo ay nasa ganitong phase na ang inyong baby, o kaya napapansin ninyong nahihirapan silang makasunod sa mga utos o sinasabi ninyo, nagbigay ako ng iilang tips upang mapabilis ang pagsanay niya nito!

Hi teacher kaye.. ung 3 years old ko po.. nkakafollow nman sa command ko.. pero tlgang wala p sya nasasabi.. kapag pinagsasalita ko sya.. binubuka lang ung bibig nya pero walang sounds.. pero kapag nkakapanood sya ng cartoons tas may sumisigaw dun sa pinapanood nya.. nagagaya nya po..sumisigaw din sya..
Kung nanonood ang bata ng videos, kahit po "educational," itigil po muna, mas lalo kung nakakapansin tayo ng kakaibang behavior, including yung ikinuwento niyo po. Hindi po kasi karaniwan yung ganon.
Gusto natin masigurado na hindi ito factor sa kanyang developmental delay. Subukan niyo po muna ng 1 to 2 weeks, at tignan po natin if may mapansin kayong improvement sa behavior and overall attention.

paano ba turuan yung bata sumagot ng bakit at ano na question. doon ko kasi tinututukan yung anak ko kasi di pa gaano nakakapag construct ng sentence na may sense. minsan kasi kung ano ano sinasabi eh. pero nakakabasa na yun at mahusay sa math. yung speech nia lang talaga. english po minsan sinasabi nia. hirap po sa tagalog

Depende po yan sa age and skills ng bata. Usually una nilang maiintindihan at gamitin ang "where" (nasaan si mommy?) bago and "what" (what's this? referring to familiar item) - around 1 to 2 years old yan. Yung why mas complex pa and around 4 years old usually nasasagot ng maayos. How old na po ang anak ninyo?
If hindi kayo English magusap sa bahay, pero mas matatas mag-English ang bata, this may be an indication of overexposure and hyperstimulation from watching videos (whether sa TV or sa ibang gadgets). Please watch this: th-cam.com/video/OmZvmt-6Zug/w-d-xo.html
So 1st advice ko ay itigil muna ang lahat ng panonood, para matanggal natin yung posibilidad na ito ang sanhi ng kanyang communication delay. Ok lang ho sana if English din ang gamit ninyo, pero kung hindi niya magagamit ang mga "na-memorize" niyang salita from screen time, hindi niya maiintindihan ang tamang gamit nito. Kapag parang wala hong sense yung sagot, or out of context sa tanong, ibig sabihin maaaring:
- yung tanong ang hindi nya naintindihan
- mali yung paraan nya ng pag-process ng information
- mali yung nare-retrieve nyang words to express himself
Will try to have a Wh- episode soon! ✨ For now, start with easy What questions about preference (what do you want), object labels (what's this), what did the dog eat (halimbawa question from a story you are both talking about). Talk about things with shared context at the moment, para alam niyo kung saan nanggagaling yung attempts nya to answer, and avoid broad things like "what did you eat this morning" na medyo malayong pangyayari na.
