Let me thank you, mate. I got this plane today to finally get some progress into rank 6-8 France and watched your videos since I was pretty confused with all the R530s. Ditching them all and going for the gunpods with 2 Magic 2s is the best thing indeed one can do. I'm quite used to the DEFAs since the Mystere IIs and Etendard use them as well, so I'm completely shredding through the J35XS and F-4 spam right now.

Don't be discouraged because of it not working out - this is probably one of the worst top tier premiums to pick alongside the British Phantom. That aside this was a lot more polished than the last video. Good work!
That said the Japanese premium f4 might be even worse, considered the low amount of new planes it will grind. At least the British one has some value there
The British F-4 Premium slaps in Sim though. It faces other F-4 that don't have PD and so it has a HUGE advantage. I stopped playing the ADTW because of that.
My goodness somebody giving THE "Mirage F1C" love and saying nice things about it truly revolutionary indeed. I actually quite enjoyed playing this aircraft in my France air grind with it’s aggressive bulldog in your face style can never go wrong with the gun pods and magics are all you need to conquer the skies and a bit of luck. I appreciate the video man great work and keep it up!

TLDR summari; the F1 has an old turbojet engine design, and it makes little thrust at low air speed. The Mirage F1 has bad low speed acceleration that remains steady, because it, unlike most if not all of the othwr fighters it faces, has a turbojet engine, instead of a turbofan. The Snecma Atar 9k 50 is more similar to the engines used in the MiG-19 and F100D, and is of the same general concept and design of those much older turbojet engines. Turbojets don't make much thrust at low air speed, but that ramps up considerably the faster you go. The same is true for turbofans, but to a significantly lesser extent. So basically... the Snecma Atar 9k 50 engine needs to be going fast to make thrust. Which is also why it's somehwat difficult to dig yourself out of a hole in this plane. If you have bled all your airspeed in a dogfight, it takes a hot minute to get it back, because the engine makes abysmal thrust when you are flying that slow.

Tips for F1C gaming: 1: Yes the 530F is super garbage, but for the new RWR systems. Since It's pulse it doesnt ever give a launch warning. Just A very fast lock warning. Also I've had some luck hitting targets through chaff in normal SRC instead of MTI (which bites chaff like 99% of the time). 2: Magic 2's are precious. If you survive the initial merge, These almost guarantee 2 kills as long as you shoot them rear aspect at around 2km (1.6 for fast targets flying away.) 3: Mastering Halfburner (scroll wheel based throttle) can really help! Allowing you to effectively stay as fast as possible in after burner without the risk of ripping your wings. 4: Defas hurt. Going for gun kills? 1 or 2 HEI shells to any plane will blow it out of the sky. So I like to just vomit them around the target just in case they jink a certain way. 5: You are great for baiting half the enemy team. If you fly to the right off the spawn, fly to the right and get spotted by a bunch of enemies. They'll see a juicy F1C and chase you and your 200+ CM's to the edge of the map or, if you desire, a friendly radar missile. F1C can really shine in the beginning and end of the fight. You may not be splashing 4 enemies a match, but one or two will suffice. Mirage taught me how to be humble. You are no F4S sparrow slinger, nor are you the 23ML super weapon, but you are an F1C passing along at mach without afterburner. **insert smug smile**
This thing is a strugglebus but slamming the airbrakes and pulling 15Gs to reverse an F-15 never gets old. Also I swear in some matches I'm invisible to half of the enemy team because I only use my radar in ACM mode to slave the magic 2 seekers

You should watch videos on different missile types and radar functions. In later tiers energy and positioning are very important. I’d recommend grabbing the mig23ml to learn with radar missiles n very high tier gameplay then maybe the f5c to get a feel for dogfighting and manoeuvres. This vehicle is more for people absolutely desperate to grind the French tree and who couldn’t get the mirage.

I favor taking x2 magic and x3 530E's on this thing. The 530e are so hilariously slow and its funny watching them basically pace with the enemy, slowly gaining on them. They also give you some much needed range for tailchases that the magics lack. Definently not useful in a dogfight, but still worth bringing rather than just leaving the pylons empty. The single pair of DEFA already hit hard enough that I dont see much point in taking the gunpod and the radar 530s are dogshit since they're pulse guidance and see chaff. It also makes a decent base bomber for grinding, but thats pretty boring gameplay, so I tend to stick away from that unless I have a daily task or something.

Bought this thing since the super-etendard got my attention alongside with the Mirage IIIE.. Played 2 Sim match and this thing slaps. 11.3-10.7 bracket so no 4th gens. Outturned a Mig21,Mig23 in dogfights and yeeted a japanese phantom as well. I have other planes to compare in sim (Mig21SMT,Mig23M,F4E/J),but this thing is pretty good so far. Except the radar 530,but changed them 2 gun-pods and 530E's. No regret buying it for 30€. Magic 2's are insane compared to the Aim9J's/R60M's
The thing that always gets me is that, when an aircraft takes so much effort to make work against its competitors, is the aircraft at the proper BR? For example, if I were to fly a 9.0 BR jet in a 11.0 BR match, I could figure out some tactics that would allow me to get some occasional kills with it. That's the feeling I get with the Mirage - I'm trying to make a much lower BR jet work in high tier. It doesn't have the weapon system to match the jets it faces. Looking at it from another view, none of its competitors require as much work and careful execution in order to kill a Mirage. Are they really competitors, or is the Mirage the Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters - completely outclassed and dunked on all day?
now this video was before the F16C and Mig 29 SMT was released, in that time the Mirage F1 was functional at its own BR if played right, it should be facing against lower BR planes not F16s and mig 29s and tomcats, but still it could survive fighting against pre update top tier vehicles if played right... the thing is, now its just totally unfair to put the F-4 J/S phantoms and Mirage F1s against the F16Cs and Mig 29SMTs. the mirage F1 does deserve a lower BR right now indeed...

Milan > F-1C (for grinding) I love the F-1 mostly for the history behind it (I only have the tech tree one which is now spaded). imo, the Milan is a far superior grinder than the F-1. Not only does it get the maximum SL modifier a premium aircraft can get in game, but it also faces a-10s a lot which are pretty easy to kill. Many A-10s are inexperienced players with the premium one and they rely too much on their missiles (which can be flared off by firing your aim-9B at them in a head on). Games with 250K SL with the Milan are not uncommon for me and I was able to get top tier France with the Milan in about a week of playing The problem with the F-1 is it is uptiered most of the time and has to fight far better planes. Maybe in the future when new battle ratings are added it will become much easier to play and more worth it than it is now. Not a bad plane, but outmatched
unfortunately i dont have the Mirage Milan, but i think it would be an intresting way to grind french air tree aswell, unless via WT wiki, i cant see the milan to buy it sadly...

This thing is my favorite plane in this game. Its a shame that the super 530 is allmost uselles its a really good missile in paper but the pulse seeker head drops the ball so gard on it. And the fligth performance is kinda mehh but at high speeds you can pull some amazing AOA, like keeping up with a F16 ( yes i did got in a dogfight with a F16 with no ordinance and low on fuel and managed to win idk how ). Either way i fucking love this aircraft in game and in real life and your video is really amazing my man keep it up this is the first tome I've watched one of your videos btw.

Games with 250K SL with the Milan are not uncommon for me and I was able to get top tier France with the Milan in about a week of playing
The problem with the F-1 is it is uptiered most of the time and has to fight far better planes. Maybe in the future when new battle ratings are added it will become much easier to play and more worth it than it is now. Not a bad plane, but outmatched
unfortunately i dont have the Mirage Milan, but i think it would be an intresting way to grind french air tree aswell, unless via WT wiki, i cant see the milan to buy it sadly...
@@Bob_Dickinson unfortunately they took it off of the store but they do bring it back occasionally! Probably not a worthwhile investment to have both and besides you got some great clips with the mirage!
@@TheLoganatorzoh yes ofcourse! Well... i have to say the mirage f1 c20p is a testdrive from gaijin so sadly, icannot hold that for a while. I reached to rank 5 now, so i think i can grind it from now on

Thanks a lot man! to be quite honest I do not know the other two mirage F1 that well, I want to make a review on the other two mirages once I have access to both of them, they are fun to play around.
This thing is my favorite plane in this game. Its a shame that the super 530 is allmost uselles its a really good missile in paper but the pulse seeker head drops the ball so gard on it.
And the fligth performance is kinda mehh but at high speeds you can pull some amazing AOA, like keeping up with a F16 ( yes i did got in a dogfight with a F16 with no ordinance and low on fuel and managed to win idk how ).
Either way i fucking love this aircraft in game and in real life and your video is really amazing my man keep it up this is the first tome I've watched one of your videos btw.

Well what a befitting video to be suggested just after recently unlocking the slightly worse Dassault Mirage F1CT, I shall convert the knowledge of this featured aircraft to that aircraft (I swear I have an unnatural gift of picking to research some of the worst things in existence of this game, most terrible CAS & or poor non meta fighters/fighter bombers, dodgy tanks that get mullered by everyone & the worst godforsaken frigate/warship in game)...

dont worry mate, so long as you enjoy them, it does not matter if you are in a meta plane, back then when skyray was ripping its wings 24/7 with 25k SIM repaircost. i loved and played it alot,
also yes you are correct, battlefield 3 has some of the best and Amazing Game OSTs ive ever heard, solomon's theme is one of my favorites tbh.

Isn't supercruise super sonic? A lot of vehicles in war thunder can cruise at mach 1 but not many can super cruise
Supercruise is basically going beyond Mach 1 without using the afterburner. Not alot of aircrafts from mirage F1's BR can do that
