We do this as well- one third deposit on jobs above £1k or over one day
The deposit proves the client hazs had the quote and agrees to it , we also require the client to click a link or send an email agreeing to the job.
We also record calls so a client calling up (they hear a message saying calls are recorded prior to the call connecting) agreeing to the job also works
