this movie has the same effect on me as the notebook has on all women. makes me cry out of joy and fall in love with cars all over again and at the same time not happy with the one i have now. amazing video.
The truck is COOL ! Old pickups are my favorite classic vehicles especially when they're from my birth year ! The only thing I do not care for are the painted bumpers. Chrome is so much nicer and really makes the truck look better in my opinion. The blue on the truck looks nice. Keep er runnin !
Just noticed this video celebrated its 12th anniversary about 4 days ago. Got me to thinking, I wonder if Scott is still driving that ol' truck. I certainly hope so. Happy belated anniversary, 1946 Dodge truck video. =)
The first time I drove our '44 my dad almost teared up because not only was it clear I had grown up but because it was the first time in over thirty years he had sat on the passenger side of the truck while someone else drove it.
What an absolute gorgeous truck! Thank you for keeping her stock, way too many molested old trucks out there, I own a stock 49 Chevy 3100, it's such a joy to own and drive an original! Love the music too, it fit perfectly!
Have a 42-46 dodge as well. It's been sitting for 49 years. Need to try and restore it. My great grandfather started out family business with it. Family history in it for sure. Has a giant fuel tank on the back. Can't wait to start the restoration
Neat video, It really shows the great lines of the truck, Almost like were right there with you. I like the unique camera angles etc. Thanks for posting!
This looked very much like the one Rich Jones (Old Classic Cars) has. He prefers to keep his an "oily ragger," maintaining the original condition as it as in the California orange groves. I'm sure you would enjoy his YT channel. I'm addicted to it. BTW, great story about your father's restoring this Dodge pickup.
I live in Indo-Burma border & dodge truck came during second world war.Now we don't have dodge brand here.love your truck and your film looks really good.
i had a similar one in the mid sixties in Phoenix, AZ. Great when it ran. I painted it red with white trim. sharp. it was reengined when I got it with a 47 Plymouth engine. Exterior the same. but, it's starter was mear junk. the trick was to get it tueninting over thehn let it go tom ignition alone. Crnkig drew all the juice, not enogh to fire it. ut, o the starter overrun, it would fire. then quiet and smooth. Some starter work r even a rebuilt would have mad a neat ruck. As a Ford guy, I let it be dold and got Ford tht fired and ran, after i fixed that!! I've always had a soft spot for old pickups, I've had a passsel of them. Carl
Just wanted to make sure you saw this - Hello Scott! I was wondering if you might be up for leasing this footage for a music video? I edit for a Boston band and they are looking to feature a truck like this in their next music video. Thanks so much!

Well done, interesting filming.
