As some one new to gaming and dark and darker both, i thank you for a competent simple guide. I do find that when i play with a fighter/ barb team mate my biggest issue are my angles
One thing that might help with this is that in this game there is right hand peak like some other games. Pretty much its better to peak to the right as opposed to the left. Im still not amazing at remembering this always but its helpful im ranger 1v1s and stuff
The race really doesn’t matter. None of them give a super big buff. Just don’t use lizard or lycan. The frost skeleton race is best but it doesn’t matter too much
I normally aim for first 15 phys power so you dont have negative phys power bonus. I then like to go to around 20-30 action speed and then ill stack phys power after.
quick question, is physical power just equal to the strength stat? Because I just see physical power bonus and below how much is from the "physical power attribute" but I can't see a physical power attribute, but the number is the same as the strength, which also states that it influences physical power. If physical power actually just is strength I got to say they labelled these things as unnecessarily confusing as possible.
what's the threshold for prio'ing physical power over bonus physical damage? something about 15% but I don't really follow my brain isn't wrinkled enough
Imo long bow is the best bow for ranger in solos and team play. My reasoning is the fact that it can out trade the enemy ranger if they have one and in solos its range and dps combined is extremely good. (ngl I think survival bow is a good competitor bc I think it might have the highest dps with quick fire) . + sorry for my bad english xd
Eh, other rangers are never really a worry with the current meta and with everyones high ms and longbows long draw time and bad ms penalty a lot of the time you just die for shooting people. I was using for a while but I can’t count the amount of times i have gotten killed or hit for shooting someone semi close with a longbow
Recurve is probably best dps wise but normally for lich or ghost king its best using a melee weapon. What i like to do is ill switch to bow when i have abilities like quick fore, quick shot, etc up for dps and then i go back to meleeing the boss
What about how to keep the armor rating below 25 so you don’t get absolutely folded by older players instantly, but also where it’s decent enough to be able to fight?
It depends on the piece and mode. Typically for rings, pendant, cape, and gloves you want true physical damage. For boots you almost always want a ms role. Then you typically want a mix of dex, action speed, and phys power roles for the rest of it.
Its not as good imo. A lot harder to stay in its ideal ranger and the dps is lacking. Its a lot easier for ppl to get away and heal in duos/trios so its whole “death by a thousand cuts” thing doesnt work as good

Great guide. I have seen a couple of good ones so far, and none had the stat scaling.

Any advice on which race you pick? I tried elves and they seem to be working well but I don't know how significantis the strenght loss

Great content! Definitely needed to step up my newbie gameplay 😂
Im not new but i wanna play ranger and i thank you for the good guide ❤
Nice I enjoy using this class idk how viable it is compared to what I'm used to but it's fun. Thanks for the tips
I have 1300 hours, and I still run to guides for any little bits of info I can add 😂
Lots of Good information, Great Video!!
For a slow heavy dps build how much min stats do you want? ik 15% phys power bonus but how much dex or strength or agility

1 str is 1 physical power for the most part.

Its once you hit 50
Physical power

ive been trying to take boss in crypt duo.. normal ofc.. what bow best do u think? longbow is good for accuracy and headshot? or surv dps is better
Recurve is probably best dps wise but normally for lich or ghost king its best using a melee weapon. What i like to do is ill switch to bow when i have abilities like quick fore, quick shot, etc up for dps and then i go back to meleeing the boss

what is good for second weapon usually and what stat you look for on both lantern and sword if not gone spear
I normally do spear or rapier+lantern and wpn dmg roles are best
What about how to keep the armor rating below 25 so you don’t get absolutely folded by older players instantly, but also where it’s decent enough to be able to fight?
Im not sure what you mean by armor rating. If you mean gear score there isnt rlly any optimization you can do below 25
you could always get a rare true damage necklace, I think it's about 17 armor score.
what are the best stats on armor can help me thrive in these matches?

what rolls are you looking for on your bows??
typically just weapon damage and then physical power/physical damage bonus
Survival Bow in Duo/trio is not good ?
