Beautiful, this Saab Sonett. It has a very particular aesthetic line. And I agree with barefoot driving: there are historic cars, like this one, which require, due to the way the pedal is made, to drive barefoot. This increases the sensitivity on the pedals.
Love the old school sports car look. Imagine this with upgraded brakes, suspension and a turbo Hayabusa engine. I wonder if the Hayabusa transmission & clutch could handle the extra weight? It could be 6 speed manual.
@@markmaz56 What makes you think that? There is one thing I noticed now and that is that the rear view mirror looks as if it has an anti blinding position. My MY'73 doesn't have that. Was that on '74's? The two '74 tell-tale signs in the outside mirrors and the black center caps of the Soccer ball wheels are not there. Or did you watch the auction :).
@@browserrr1 No, I had a '74 back in the day and it looked very similar. However, looking online, I discovered that the "soccer ball" rims with the black paint were standard on the 1974 model. This car definitely doesn't have those, so you're probably right about 1973. DEFINITELY not 1971, though!

Saw one of these on my way home today in the UK, really cool!
Did you notice if it was left or right hand drive?
@@CarsofSwedenlive I think it was left hand drive? But can't be 100%.

You sound like a man with a plan.
V4 sounds really good!
Yeah it was a lovely sounding engine 👍🏾
Wow that's "So Neat" 👌👍
Really nice Saab!
👍🏾🔥🔥
A '71 model with '73 big bumpers, a '73 dashboard and '73 door- and window openers?????
Wow you know your Saabs
I suspect that it is really a '74 model.

@@markmaz56 You guys are on the ball 👍🏾after doing some further checks, it is in fact a 73 model.
Ah, I've seen that you're gotten a windfilter.
😊
Snygg Sonett.
Lägg märke till att det passerar en V4 med Saabo husvagn vid 1:32
Saabo husvagn tillverkades av SAAB.
Det var bra att du såg den 👍🏾
Hörde att du har några snygga bilar värda att filma!
Do all sonett III sound like this? Or did you do something special to this one?
I know the previous owner worked at saab and did modify the car so it could be a modified exhaust but can't be 100% sure.
@@CarsofSwedenlive it sounds awesome
Cool car
Thanks ❤
