Phuzzy, just fyi, but trident use is NOT more efficient by charging the shots: 1st stage - 1 charge - 30 damage 2nd stage - 2 charges - 60 damage 3rd stage - 3 charges - 90 damage 30 charges total per trident. As you can see, the damage increase and the charge consumption is linear. You get no advantage out of charging, except for greater AoE. Charge fully if you're preparing an ambush for example, and want your first hit to do a lot of damage, or if you want to hit a lot of enemies. But other than that, better make sure you're hitting in the first place, by using the higher projectile velocity of stage 1 or 2.
On the other hand, if your target isn't moving very fast, then with a large AoE, you don't really have to aim. It's like a slow-moving blunder bomb that flies perfectly straight, can be detonated with a gunshot, and deals full damage across the whole AoE. ...That analogy kind of got away from me...
i got sea of thieves on the 24th of September and i love it more than any game in a VERY LONG TIME, I have 147 hours total. if I hadn't found this channel i have no idea where i would be in my pirate journey, definitely not as far as i am now thanks to the guides and gameplays. because of phuzzy i ALWAYS try to talk to another ship before attacking and I've met some good buddies on the seas already that i play with almost daily now. thanks phuzzy, for helping me get better at the game and for being one of the best streamers in my opinion.

Their trick is always the same "We're friendly, we're friendly" and then they just keg you if they can, while swearing at you in french. Also had a french sloop attacking our fishing brig 4 times. Three out of four times we blew up their own kegs that they brought for us... I'm not saying all french people are bad, but 9 out of 10 I've met are toxic trolls.
phuzzy little tip with the tridents, i wouldnt charge up to three on graymarrow becasue one is more accurate and faster im pretty sure. if you use the 3 charge then its not worth on graymarrow but if its a skeleton fort then tis worht becasue the splash damage
