Yeah man I know your suffering....went to a car show with my daily 87 Ramcharger broke a tank strap on the way back. NJ rust sucks.... Got home and yeah I had a set of factory spares hanging in the shed took them sandblasted them coated with phosphoric acid then when dry self etch primer and two good coats of epoxy black urethane that I had laying around.... Coated them with Woolwax and installed them about an hour and I was taking my time.....they will be good for years to come... Hoarding has paid off for me...aftermarket with all their modern laser measuring and blueprints they have.... and still the fail miserably!... It's not the technology it's the Damn people and lack of integrity and pride of work that's lacking not just with the worker but the Damn bean counters and management all the way to the top.
