- This week has been challenging. But I don't dare ask, "What's next?" I don't wanna know. But I have been able to get some designing done, inbetween power outages. Tonight I'll show you what I've been doing and show yuou what you can expect in next weeks videos. Plus, we will design a windmill tower in real time using Lightburn.

You added your slots to the inside and the tabs to the outside of your workpiece, therefore making one side thicker than the other.
That was the intent. It was a design choice. It works as is. But, it was not the same outcome I got previously. But by putting slots on one side and tabs on the other, you can design one piece that works on all four sides.

Crazy question. Could you do a cone shape using a tapered live hinge? Just something else to experiment with.
Simply done... no. But I believe it might work if you cut a conical living hinge. Unlike a regular living hinge where the cuts remain parallel, these would all have a slight angle, getting further away from one another. In theory, it might work.
Using the warp tool that is used mostly for rotary mugs should work In theory.
I guess the taper tool wouldn’t work, because after thinking about it is designed to make things look correct when wrapped around something. I’ll have to look for a different tool like distort tool. It would be fun to experiment with the idea. I’ll have to put that in my project to try pile.
I think the slot side has all the ends showing through, a on the tab side you see more of the wood because there aren’t any dark ends showing on that side. Optical illusion probably.

Calling for rain today. Don't want to be laying on the ground in the rain. Working on my Tuesday video. I'll be replacing all the insulation underneath and fans and dehumidifiers running inside I should be okay until I can get the belly dropped.

Nope. Made a clean break and haven't looked back. I have seen several others that came out with songs after I made mine. It's funny that he has one. He used to give me grief for using music. A lot of his thumbnails for his videos have starbursts or large letters saying, "No Music". (shrug)
