I've had a TS9 for 4 years here in Brazil, I've never had any kind of failure, it's perfect, the trigger is great, I have better hits with it than my G17 Gen5.
I commented with Travis p11 to check out the new TH series pistols while he was doing a review or cleaning on the Taurus PT-809 and informed him that Taurus was coming out with the TS series as well prior to the release of the TH series in America!

I would love to get my hands on the TS9,,, it would be a hit here in the US. The slide to frame fit is great and the Arex delta has that fit and it’s a nice pistol.
I had one here in Brazil. I sold it to help me buy a SIG (that is very expensive here in Brazil) for my personal defense. But I'm considering buy another one again, for IPSC runs, since my intention is to use something more affordable due to the wear over shooting it too much. It's a great pistol, but mind it was never design to be a conceal carry. It's a better pistol than the G3 BY FAR. Best recoil, best trigger and best handling. The small ejection port really scares at the beginning, but if you be a little more careful when choosing you ammo (this isn't exactly a problem in USA, but here we depend too much on cheaper reloaded ammo), it will not jam easily. All the problems i had with my old pistol was with cheap reloaded ammo. The projectiles was too large, it was not feeding properly.
@@LWRoad Thanks man! Just now, Taurus is releasing the compact version of the TS9. It increases the chances to export it more. BUT at the same time, we elected a communist president, that is determined to ban weapons here. It will be a harsh time around here. Hope we talk again with better news.

Limited release in US from a government contract overrun. Bought the only one in my area. $399 new. Outstanding value and high quality throughout. The mag’s top round points at the chamber due to the reduced barrel tilt (although not quite as good as a Beretta rotating barrel system). The smooth feeding geometry and controlled extraction/ejection means this design has reliability advantages. Probably Taurus' best pistol, but not generally available. Buy one if you get the chance. TH9/TS9 17rd mags are in stock online. Update: My TH9 17rd mags from MidwayUSA are on the way, but now I have heard conflicting info about TH9/TS9 mag compatibility. Update #2: My Taurus TH9 17rd mags from MidwayUSA came in (SKU: 358-0009-01) and they fit and feed perfectly in my Taurus TS9, are reasonably priced (I went with Midway out of familiarity but have seen them for less elsewhere), are made in Italy by Mec-Gar (considered the best), are identical to the two mags that shipped with my new TS9, and are made with snag-free seamless tube construction. They're completely different, G3 is SA/DA, while TS9 is Striker Fired with a much better trigger, unfortunately it lacks TORO, but it's the best pistol on Taurus lineup here in Brazil.
@@alencastrofelipe Dual strike capability of the G3 is not the same as DA/SA as there is no way to avoid the long DA-like first pull. On a DA/SA one can drop the hammer to bypass the DA pull. Therefore the difference between the TS9 and the G3 is simply a long first pull, that's it
@@Tusk_Tact Taurus states on their website it's a DA/SA, also some of the first G2 (PT 24/7 G2) had a decock lever, which was later on removed. G3 is carried in SA with a tensioned firing pin spring, thus the need for an external safety, while TS9 being a proper striker fire only starts tensioning the firing pin spring when the trigger starts getting pressed.
I do not know much about his other guns with his design however, I do know this Taurus pretty well. I own two of them and they are more solid, better made than the other Taurus striker fire pistol I own. This pistol is accurate, reliable, and a great Shooter.

It sounds like Taurus may have had some marketing analysis done and the TS9 may not have "polled" well. We all know how reliable testing and polling are for the real world 🤢 🤮. After the TX22 being "gun of the year" in 2019 it seems like the TS9 should be given an opportunity to be sold in the US, especially with Taurus' surge in popularity. If Taurus doesn't release it in the US very soon, it would seem like there may be undisclosed issues with the design and they don't want to have it hit US shooters hands. Hey, it's pretty much all speculation at this point but it is a pistol that is definitely intriguing.
Oh I'm quite certain there definitely a bias. God forbid we could have a better pistol design than from all the other big gun makers and from TAURUS at that.
I would carry a slingshot, or big stick as my duty weapon, before I would carry a taurus firearm. The model I have seen is more then a glock, by 100 dollars. Almost 200 more then the base m&p

Great video Taurus can make some excellent weapons if they apply themselves. Ive been happy with their products. Im surd this would sell well in the US as an option. 🎩🎱🏁🎯♠♦♣♥🌼🏵🌸💙💛🔱🌻🇺🇸🍀
I think so too, they need to bring the TS series to the US
It sounds like Taurus may have had some marketing analysis done and the TS9 may not have "polled" well.
Well this pistol just hit the USA.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. 👍
These other gun manufacturers better step up their game because Taurus is making world class firearms these days at a good price.
Taurus is doing a limited run of the ts9 in the usa.
I dontthink there is a bias, because I never heard of him before today.
Brazil just outlawed handguns, so now Taurus is using the US market to deplete that stock. I'm sorry but the G3 is still a better option
Oh I'm quite certain there definitely a bias. God forbid we could have a better pistol design than from all the other big gun makers and from TAURUS at that.
I love my taurus Th9.
Not really a big fan of striker pistols.
U can next Spring 2024
TAURUS'S answer to glock 45 9mm. But with 2 extra rounds.

At the very least we need the TS series here🇺🇸
@@LWRoad Definitely second that👍
I say…RELEASE THE KRAKEN! I mean, release it in the US and let the market decide.
"Boobits"
Flat, Flat, Flat, Flat, Flat. Bubits mind
I would carry a slingshot, or big stick as my duty weapon, before I would carry a taurus firearm. The model I have seen is more then a glock, by 100 dollars. Almost 200 more then the base m&p
Interesting, I've only seen Taurus's with cheaper MSRP's
I WILL HAVE one of those IF they are Released here in USA... C'MON TAURUS just get the OPTIC PLATE on it... HOWEVER as far as kimber.. I wouldn't even by a GLOCK if they just came with ONE MAG.
I'd love to know the real story behind them pulling it back from US release at the last moment. Good to hear from you again @SteemerXaxon, thanks for watching
I purchased one and love it. My kitchen utensil!
I would think it has nothing to do about nothing too. That Design is very nice and should ad Greatly to the Taurus lineup. I wonder did Walther PDP design was inspired by the Taurus TS9 to me they look to have very similar lines. I have been waiting for the pistol to be sold here USA for a while now. Taurus current line is proving to be as good as othe know brands and very reliable too. Am also hoping they would do away with the re-strike trigger in favor of a shorter stroke lighter trigger but with the excellent reset their current triggers have.
tx22 is hands down he best .22 out there eats anything a tank just bought ts9 enroute now I expect the same
