Vertical offset is usually going to be associated with PrintExp and the vertical alignment setting. Another thing that can cause that offset is film roll tension. The roll on the back of the printer has tensioners on each side. Try tweaking those and see if it helps.
Also, the issue of the clogging is related to the dried up rubbery ink that was found around the capping station, where as the same build up happens on and around the actual print head(sometime giving print smears and blocked nozzles). On audley printers the printhead is some what easier to remove than other printers. I would pull the print head and visually check the metal plate the the printhead is mounted to and the underside of the printhead. I keep spare printheads(I know expensive) to switch out while I soak one in cleaner to fully open up all nozzles. You have been printing long runs of transfers for quite a while. Eventually requiring what I call a PM(preventative maintenance) cleaning. That 1000 hour cleaning.
