You seem more content about this one than the hollowbody ii you reviewed awhile back: I THINK it’s because this has mahogany and previous was maple. I like the bound f-holes look on the honey burst hollowbody ii better, but for warmer darker sound I think I’m gonna go with this one. Thank you!

My favourite colour and a warm sound is a must for me. Thankfully you mentioned the thick neck, as my small hands struggle with baseball bat necks! I need thin wide radius necks, hence why i prefer Ibanez ,Schecter and ESP guitars. Someday PRS will make a guitar that is suitable, but it must have a trem. Thanks for the video. Unfortunately i now have concerns about these beautiful looking guitars that do undoubtedly have a great 335 type tone. However in this viddo and a few others, im hearing tuning or intonation problems. Surely it cant be just a coincindence that im hearing this in a few demo videos. Do these guitars lose their tuning easily?? Worrying indeed.

Hi Jon! That PRS is a bit chimey for me. I like warmer and creamier sounding guitars , but I do like the mahogany and the neck as it reminds me of the old Gibson Les Paul I once had. Is the PRS heavy?

Nice work, Jon. I've been curious about this guitar for a long time, just like the SE Paul's Guitar. I did a gig two weeks ago playing two hours of all Allman Brothers, 2/3 of the time with a Peerless 335 and it was perfect. But I do like your overdrive tones on this guitar very much, I think it would be just as good for that gig. What do you think? Also what amp did you use here? Keep up the great work!
@@JonIsJustTooLoud the podcast hits people who buy guitars. For me it's an accessible hollow body jazz box. The neck is great for me as it feels like my nylons. I'm going to try some flat wound strings for it. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.
Little bit too bright sounding for my ears. I'd want to mellow that tone down a little. Otherwise very nice. I think the SE Hollowbody II Piezo is worth the extra $$$s
FYI, the Standard is all mahogany and the Hollowbody II is all maple. If you think this one is a bit too bright, the HB II would be an even brighter guitar.
