@@JpLaunch Thank you very much, a great video to learn pure Jananese vocabulary, I am trying to be less reliant on Romaji. However, I am really confused as to when to use haragana or not in writing instead of Kanji and vice versa? One thing I am sure of is some words are written in haragana in this vidoe instead of Kanji as I learnt before. Could you please explain a bit for me?

@@dolphinlunggrin6594 Do keep in mind though, while it is indeed "five things", in English you would also only say "five" as it is the numeric indicator. It might've been nice to add the "things" in brackets but the counting system in Japanese is complicated as you may encounter different ways to count things. Meaning a pencil (long, cylindrical object) is counted with a different "system" than a coin (round object). However, I was once told that the general way of counting would be mostly understandable for the Japanese even when used with the "wrong" object.

How it feels good to read and pronounces the words before him... It took me almost one month to master Hiragana, it seems little but i feel so happy to finally be able to read many words now. For those ones who are starting to study Japanese, don't give up!

yup i learned hiragana in 2 days but it took me a long time to read it fluently without thinking

This is just amazing. The romaji honestly just confuses me most of the time so thanks for leaving it out and your pronounciation paired with the optional translations and deeper explanations to things like "over there (far from the speaker and the listener)" makes this super practical

@@Simkets i would say decent progress maybe hahah. I started with grammar so i learned N5 and some N4 aswell (altough you remember a couple of kanjis just by looking them a lot of times) and later i'll truly focus on learning kanji radicals.

@@FransYT No it doesn't. "Ganbarou" means "I shall do my best" or "Let's do our best". The verb "ganbaru" literally means to do one's best. When used in a request form like "ganbatte" or "ganbare" it's often translated as "good luck", because that's kind of the sentiment, but the literal meaning is "Do your best !". "Ganbarou" on the other hand is the volitional form of "ganbaru", so it has the meaning of "Let's" / "I shall".

Just memorized Katakana and Hiragana and this really helps me out to build my vocabulary
I wrote all of them down by hand. Took me three days because writing kana still takes me long, but now I have the vocabulary with me wherever I go! (I don't take my phone with me most of the time, it comes easier to me to just pack a small notebook.)

Google for things like kanji list pdf or kanji N5 pdf help. 😉
Also for Android I found a really good app. For train the kanji it's called obenkyo.
It's completely free and it's usable offline.
Thanks for this list of vocabulary words. It really helps me a lot, at first I doubted myself if I can read it without romaji. This made me realized that I should trust myself (coz I glanced to Hiragana and Katakana just thrice this month and I can't memorize it).

I don't think it is a good idea to try to learn plain lists of words. Listening to words in whole sentences gives them the context that they need to make sense. It would be a good idea to find sentences spoken by native Japanese speakers that contain the words. Listen to those sentences repeatedly, and then the words in those sentences will become familiar to you at the same time as you learn in what context they are used and how they relate to the other words in the sentences that contain them.

Been years since I learned Japanese coming to this channel has helped me remember a lot of what I thought I forgot.
I didn't even know I still understood or even could read the characters to this point. I'm still rusty by all means but surprisingly pleasant to know that it's not all lost.
