I just want to say a huge thank you. I tightened the forend on my Boswell tonight. So much knowledge and recorded for history. Rest in peace Jack..

These master craftsmen/artisans should be recognised as national treasures.

Reminds me of the years I worked at Griffin and Howe. Priceless memories.

I really enjoy watching Jack and listening to his stories and insight. And thanks to this video I have just fixed the loose forend on my Betinsoli over/under that has been bugging me for a while now!... Thanks Jack.

I can remember as a teen sitting with my father in Birmingham pubs on Sunday lunchtimes listening to gunmakers, engineers, jewelers like Jack as they talked about their trades back in the 60's over a pint of Ansell's or M&B beer! Those days are gone now along with their knowledge and skills. Very sad.

Yes, its sad. I remember listening to those kinds of conversation too throughout my apprenticeship and the sadness the old boys felt knowing their trade was a dying art. Its not just the loss of highly trained and skilled craftsmen. Its the loss of dignity that goes with the loss of work you can be proud of. I feel it everyday.

Old Jack obviously knows his stuff but hey Brownells, you really need to add “closed captioning” so people can understand him.
