I think this is the best Ocean Lakes Campground Video I have seen. We love this place. Come each year for the past 9 years.
My family started going to ocean lakes the year i was born and has gone every year since. I am now 23 years old. The tradition started with my granparents hauling all 7 grandkids down in a camper. We now rent a house every year. This campground is like a second home to my family and i enjoy every minute of our vacation there every year.

I’ve been going to Ocean Lakes for about 35 years. Since I was 5. A lot has changed in those years. There used to be another section of camper sites where the lazy river and big slide is. The arcade used to be where the observation deck is now. Hurricane Hugo took that out. Those are probably 5 yrs old or less. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully you will visit our great state again. Happy camping👍🏻. Subscribed as well.

I live 8 miles from Ocean Lakes. Wife and like going there just for a little get away from the house. It’s a little pricey during the season but you get a lot for your money. Worth it in my book.
Wow I stayed in that camp ground as a kid with my parents. The had a Coleman popup and I stayed in a pup tent. I was around 8 or 9 at the time now I'm 61. Have not seen that place in years. Good to see it's still going strong. Thx
Mike Lloyd it is still nice but they cut down a lot of trees, took out the lagoon pool, as I called it, and put in tall water slides, and things are rather tight with all of the RVs and houses on stilts.
Went there at least a couple of times a year with my parents in the late 70's. It has changed alot!

we were there the week of July 4, 2018 Our first time at this campground, the grandchildren loved it!
I bet it was super busy during that time of season! I can see why the young ones would really enjoy this place.

I used to live 40 min from Myrtle Beach and never knew this was there. But, since I lived so close I never was interested in overnight accommodations. I do miss MB and North Carolina. You video made me home sick in a good way!

We LOOOVE Ocean Lakes. We live in Wilmington NC and it's just a short drive. We go often and our uncle has a little house in there where he lived and we can stay any time we want. The nights are fun with the golf cart parades too. LOOOOOVE OL.
Great video. We always stay at Lakewood. More grass & trees. Lots are bigger.

I would say the best time to hit the park is in early May or late September it was just a little too crowded for me
Ocean lakes is my favorite campground. Being only an hour and a half from there we frequent there often. Headed down Friday for the weekend even though the weather is not that great I still don’t mind it. Great video

Just toke a ride thru there today we are snowbirds ans stay in a high rise condo. We love it here. So we always seen so many people going in there so we got a 1hour pass. I was surprise to see how big it is. I came home and look it up and saw your utube. I am so gladit wasnt crouded at all we could just ride right thru there. Nice place.

we loved ocean lakes. stayed there last labour day weekend on the way home from the Fort. had a great site first in teh row at the beach! we have to agree ive never seen so many carts! weve also stayed at the trav-l-park and enjoyed it too, but we went here for the easy beach access.

I love Ocean Lake.. me and the family spent 7 beautiful days there last year in may in 1 of their beautiful lake front 2 story homes. 1 of our best vacations ever. This video makes me want too go back very soon great video it shows everything.

This is our favorite campground. Gearing back up for the Halloweekends in October. We are just weekenders while the kids are in school but love yalls content.

Great video! We stay here every year and love it! You did great covering all the hotspots in the campground. Nothing like a golf cart parade at night to have some fun. Even my 7 year old likes to cruise and slap hands with the pretty little girls :) fun for all ages.

I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome this place is. Yes it can get crowded, but I am a self proclaimed introvert and it’s my favorite place ever. With some clever timing during the day it’s not that bad even during peak seasons. Too bad you didn’t show the whole water park (orange slides, giant lazy river, huge kiddy splash pad) and the nightly golf cart parades!

Awesome video u guys this actually got everything in the park i love ocean lakes it’s been a home away from home for u since 1988 we spend 9 days there every July. Last year they relocated an enlarged the nature center lab an museum. Keep up the videos an hope to see y’all back at OL soon

Has anyone been there for Memorial Day week, the last week in May? Just wondering how the crowd is then. We went to ocean lakes for years when I was growing up and after I had children. Haven’t been in several years and planning to go next year... And Great video!

We have gone in early November and had a great time, very empty then and we had a great beach view by day 3. Going in April with several friends meeting there again so I hope it's the same way. However there are state parks just down the road that I want to try also.
I strongly recommend that you go in October, mainly during the Halloween weekend, while it is still crowded I don't think it is as crowded (though I could always be wrong) and it is still fun ( no waterpark though )

Yes . That's great. Pirate Land is so laid back and all the camp sites are large. Try staying in the shaded areas. The sites close to the beach are to close together and they get a little hot. My air conditioner has a hard time keeping up with that much heat. Also Beth page is like a fort wilderness in Virginia

We've been there several times... Stayed on the beach side all 3 times. It is a have to part everyone needs to experience Ocean Lakes! But for me personally... It's too busy for me... LOL
I agree JoMar, during those peak season its just a little to busy for me too. Maybe another time of year......
You did a great job presenting this place. But OMG, it is WAY too busy for our liking. We are 25 years married with no children, so we make sure to generally camp at vacation hot spots when most people with children don't. We totally avoid spring break, fall break, and mid-summer. It would be a great place to stay during a slower season. We're seasoned campers having started with a 13ft travel trailer, then a 19ft travel trailer, now a 28ft with 2 slides that suits us to a T. Myrtle Beach is definitely on the list for the future.

I’ll say this. My very first time pulling my camper (albeit it’s a pop up), I drove it to there from Asheboro NC. All pull through sites make it really freakin easy. Golf cart renting is expensive but it’s fun at night with the golf cart parade lol. Asheboro is also home to the biggest zoo on the east coast and we have a jellystone park which is AMAZING!!!!
Wow, just watched the video guys and I thought it was great. I live here in the Upstate region of South Carolina and didn't know that the beach even offered such a mega RV campsite as Ocean Lakes. I have heard of it but just thought that it was condo's and apartments. We are expecting the arrival of our travel trailer that I recently purchased, it's a 2019 Forest River Greywolf Limited Edition 29TE with a bunkhouse for the grandkids. After watching your video, I'm just about positive of where we are going to plan one of our trips, it's only about 4 hours away from us. I did subscribe to your channel and plan on watching more of your videos. Maybe someday we may be in the same place and get to meet. In the meantime, happy travels to you both.

The golf carts are the main reason we don't go to Ocean Lakes, we travel a few more miles up the road to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Only the year round residents have golf carts, which means less traffic and a more relaxed feel.

It looks much more our style. I don't see the point in all those golf carts (unless you are elderly or disabled). I want my kids to walk or ride a bike!

Thank you for sharing. Great video editing and camera work and the narration was fun. As far as the campground, not so sure. Seems very clean and lots of amenities but really crowded in season. Maybe off season it is better but not sure when that is (?). I think I will stick to the OBX for now. I was born and raised in SoFlo, so I have had my fill of crowded beaches :-)
