Revise Entire Orthopedics in 100 lines in just 30 Minutes by Dr. Apurv Mehra

I feel that if we remember the most significant lines from each section of a subject we may be able to recollect things around it in the exam. This is my attempt to build 100 lines in ortho for the Neet 2021 exam that each one must remember.

Not all subjects cannot be completed in 30 minutes but they can be surely covered in more time

:Points in between: (in case u missed ):
*M/c tumour of hand* : Squamous cell carcinoma.
*M/c bone tumour of first decade* : Ewing's Sarcoma --->> But Ewing's Sarcoma most commonly occurs in 2nd decade > 1st decade.
*Mets to bone* -- M/c in *Thoracic* Spine; primaries being in the order of Breast>Prostrate>Lung.
Reduction method of shoulder dislocation *not done now* --> HIPPOCRATES METHOD.
Elbow dislocation : *#ulnar** nerve*
*Galeazzi fracture more common than Monteggia fracture*
Intertrochanteric fracture of Femur : *Complete external rotation with marked shortening*
*Skin is preserved first repaired Last, but BONE is fixed FIRST*
*Bucket handle tear is a longitudinal vertical tear M/c in medial meniscus*
*Mallet Finger Managed Conservatively*
*Jersey Singer needs Surgical Management*
*L5* is the MOST COMMON *nerve root to be compressed*
*Most common nerve damaged in the human body -- Radial Nerve*
Codfish vertebra seen more commonly in *osteoporosis* than osteomalacia
*P* agets ---- *P* elvis ---- *P* ain
Age specific Pediatric orthopedics :
*At birth* --limitation of Abduction and IR , limb shortening --->> DDH :::: Ortolani and Barlows test.
*4-8 years* limitation of AB + IR, painless LIMP + -----> PERTHES DS (AVN FEMORAL EPIPHYSIS)
*11-20 YRS* -> limitations of AB + IR + HORMONAL defects eg: HYPOTHYROID--> SCFE
Klippel Feil : cervical vertebrae not segmented. Restricted neck movements.
CTEV : males >females, m/c variety : Idiopathic , age is used to treat , Pirani scoring.
