Just browsing and ran across this channel. Sure glad I did ! My dad was a songwriter here since the 70's and thought the world of Jim. They all got together here in H'ville on occasion and dad cherished those times. Great videos here, thanks for sharing !
I sure hate to Don Helms leave, but the Good Lord wanted Hank and the rest of the Drifting Cowboys back together. I still remember seeing Hank and the Gang on the Louisana Hayride in 1950. All of you are great.
...Man! Those two licks Tommy White plays up around 7:30 are as sweet as it gets! Sounds like it's from "Heartaches By The Number" by Ray Price. That's the sounds that makes steel guitar so special...
Haha Jim admitted Tommy gave him some free strings and that he resold them. Then when Jim brings up strings again later and gets his sponsor wrong, you can see Tommy is unhappy.
I'm sorry.... But that Peavey Nashville 1000 was the worst amp I ever had or seen, sound quality wise. And I can't believe he liked it or came with it. Also my young daughter put a can of coke on mine, then turned it over and because peavey put vents on the top like no other amp I know has.... it went capputz...
there’s plenty of footage of these gentlemen playing all over the internet. if you wanted to see that you could’ve looked it up instead of coming here to bitch
I'm getting my first pedal steel in a few days. Excited to be a part of this community of musicians
