What to expect at your child's 1st dental visit

- In this video clip, I'm doing a step-by-step demonstration on what usually happens at the dental check up for children. This video is catered to children. It's meant to answer some of their questions, and hopefully take away any anxiety towards seeing a dentist.

Also, I am currently working on creating a new channel geared for children in order to teach them all about taking care of their oral health, and give them tools to prevent getting cavities, and help them with having a great oral health. I will share that channel here once it's ready. I hope that would help as well. :)

Well, that is lovely! I wish I had luck for such awesome dentist when I was a kid. My mom took me to some old lady when I was like 5 or 6, she did not show me anything, she just started to drill some tooth and OH GOD, I remember the pain. From that time I was so scared that I had a lot of stress everytime. Getting older, it was the same....My mom did not care if I brush my teeth, I did not as well :-( 11 years old and my third time at the dentist- my tooth was rotten, pulled out and placed with inlay(stainless steel tooth). Today I am 23, I had to get used to brush my teeth properly everyday by myself. When I see your proffesional approach I believe I would like dentist from the beggining, would brush my teeth if you told me to, would go to the dentist without fear and stress, it would help me a lot before going through so much pain. Good job!

My dentist does not do that but I still get stressed whenever I go because I usually get teeth pulled every time even though I'm not going for it because I remember one visit when I went for a cleaning and they pulled like one or two teeth

I'm very happy to hear dear Joshua. My main advice would be to swish your teeth every time you eat (to remove the food immediately), brush twice a day of course, but also try to floss every night before going to bed. Visit your dentist on a regular basis for check up before there is a problem and hopefully your dental visits will be more pleasant :)

When I first went to the dentist, I did feel pretty nervous about the experience, but the more times I visit, the better I feel about my visits and the dentists. My dentists also clean my teeth if I haven't perfectly cleaned them before, and they also give me a sticker if I perform really well and appropriately in the appointment. Additionally, my favourite part of the dentist visit is when my dentist grabs out a pair of really cool-looking polarized sunglasses😎 and allowed me to use them during a certain part of the appointment.

Great for her my kid is always screaming as well. She screamed like mama mama mama mama mom tell mom my tooth hurts. She always cleans and I and when I take her to the doctor, she said no I change my mind. It doesn’t hurt. We have to leave for shor and this time I’m gonna take her to a doctor.😂😊

Hi Dr, I have a foul smell amd taste on my right side of teeth and gum. What could be the possible reason?
Hi . It is hard to say without checking it properly. But if it's coming from your gum it could be due to calculus buildup and inflammation of the gum. Periodontal disease can cause bad smell. I would recommend to check with a dentist and get your dental check up and cleaning.

I'm sorry for such late reply! I just saw your message! I am hoping you took your child to the dentist to see what can be done. Leaving cavity in the mouth can lead to infection and causing health issues and possibly harming the permanent teeth below it.
I never understood how a dentist touches everything with their gloves on, then puts their gloved hands in our mouths. They really need to learn how to use gloves.
Everything we touch with the gloves is sterilized and disinfected after each patient's 😊
