Then the rain started! The isle of Anglesey Coastal Path #4

Day 4 🥾 5th August #AngleseyCoastalPath
We had had such good run with the weather. Over the last few days it was all blue skies and sunshine!!
Today it was all rain 🌧 rain 🌧 and more rain 🌧.
It was time to get the waterproofs out and embrace the windy wet weather!
It was a long tough day. We stopped off at a cafe right on the route for a quick bite to eat and to charge our battery pacts.
My watch battery died and I didn’t have the juice to charge it - so no stats.
Start: Lligwy Beach
Start time - 6.30am
Accommodation: wild camped - in the trees 🌲⛺️
Finish time - 5.20pm
Costs: £4.80 (bacon and egg toastie with a slice of toast and butter)
Dinner - cheese, tomato 🍅 , mayo, and ready salted crisps in a wrap! 😋
Snacks - all the sweet stuff!
⛺️It was getting quite late and we were struggling to find anywhere to camp. We came across a small patch of trees, in between a farmers fields and this was the last place we would be able to camp. So we decided to set up home there. I was so glad to get into my tent and get out of my wet gear!
I’ve forgotten how tired it can be walking day after day.
💤I’m ready for sleep!
We are very close to Trwyn Du and Puffin Island.
I’m using @ciceronepress guidebook - #walking the Wales Coast Path 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Llwybr Arfordir Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 by Paddy Dillon. Be aware the guide book is for the whole of the Wales Coast Path, the Anglesey part starts following the Menai Bridge and then goes anti-clockwards around the island.
So the book is backwards if you start from Holyhead and go clockwise! You do have to think a little bit more. But all the info you need is included!
