When you pay to see them and that is there flavor of performance then things can get dicey.

However, if they don’t do it regularly, then yes, an audience member can be justified in being unhappy as they didn’t go to the concert to hear politics.

There's a narrow line between outrage and timing in comedy. I.e. imagine after 9/11 happened and the whole world was in mourning: someone made a joke about it. Most would consider that tasteless and deranged. Likewise, a major presidential leader and candidate almost having their head blown off receiving these 'witty' jokes mere hours after it happens doesn't excuse the behaviour just because you disagree with their politics. It makes you look like a terrible person to wish someone dead because they're not on your inkblot political side. And probably undermines anyone wanting to agree with your politics in the future if you act this way.
