- Join Sara Renzulli of Sarafina Fiber Art, Inc to create your own swarm of bumblebees. (These bees don't sting! But felt on your surface and not in the air or you may get "stung" by a felting needle...) Using roving, locks, some top coat, and a few great tools you can make your own sweet and fuzzy bees. I am Danish and I am going to say that the proverb is the Elder bush, for Elder blossom used to make delicious summer drinks and then the berries in the fall for delicious syrup that keeps colds and flus away. The Elder blossom is sweet and bees love it and never want to leave.
I am just starting. And my assignment is bumble bees. I am pretty handy, but it will be my first time felting. Wish me luck.

Wonderful and adorable felted bees! Is the kit, by any chance, still available after all this time?
Wish I could send a pic. My ‘little’ bee is turning out to be about 3 1/2-4” long! I did mine backwards and now it’s so fluffy and chubby in the middle more towards the head so I’m a little stumped on how to get the head right. I also used mocha colored striping with the mustard. It has the curve in it so if I could get this head right it would be ok I think. I know you can’t see it but just trying to explain it. Would I wrap the black around the head again to match the size of the fluff that’s next to that spot? Or would it be better to wrap it but make it smaller and then add the eyes? I know I could always just start over but I worked hard and hoped I could finish it somehow. Lol. I’m not sure how or if I can send a pic! Thank you in advance:)
