- With giving myself the rule of having to select 3 players max from each country, I have created the best starting XI for every Copa America group. You guys enjoyed the World Cup and EURO version, so I figured to bring it back. Let me know what you would change in the comments!

Selecting Maripán over Paulo Díaz from River means, with all due respect, my man does not know that much about 🇨🇱. We do not like Maripán capping from 1' over here: he's slow and erratic, but praised because of his height and occasional head scoring only. Paulo Díaz on the other hand is a beast and a warrior in defense. Maripán is dispensable, while Paulo Díaz is essential for us.
It’s because most Europeans don’t really watch South American domestic leagues because they think it is at a low level, which is a shame because many of the best players would walk into mid-table European teams.
Also as a River Plate fan I have to add that Paulo Diaz has to deal with Gonzalez Pirez and Herrera being 2 of his partners in defense... Paulo has to leave his position many times to help solve their childish mistakes 💀

@@Technical_ability_superiority for some unkown reason, Demichelis doesn't add him to the Starting XI, tonight will tho against Deportivo Táchira, also due to the rightback position being a difficult one since Herrera is awful and Sant'anna had only a few matches, Boselli has played as a RB sometimes aswell, thankfully it seems that Demichelis finally realize that Herrera and Gonzalez Pirez must be on the bench and that Boselli and Sant'Anna are a million times better or at least I hope that's the case. 😑
@@leandrociarrapico9256 Yes Sant’Anna was really good in the game that I saw, hopefully that fixes the RB problem for the near future.
I also heard River may be signing Pezzella in the summer window, he would be a good option alongside Diaz though he isn’t really a good ball progressor and he is slow.

I think Dibu Martinez has made enough to prove he is the type of goalkeeper who wins you tournaments. He is the best south american goalkeeper , at least at international level (not clubs)

Group B should be Luis Malagon and Montes over Vasquez. Malagon is literally Memo Ochoa's replacement in the Mexican national team and Montes is stronger and far better at passing than Vasquez.

And we’re talking about his defense ability which he isn’t being consistent this season compared to Vasquez who’s been carrying his ass when they play each other. But then again both players play very well playing together in the Mexican team.

Maybe I’m biased but I would replace Gallese with Bravo since he is way younger (still old) and saved his club and Peru numerous times. Also tapia is not really a defender/defensive midfielder so I would replace Eustaquio with him and put maybe Alexander Callens in place of tapia
