  • The new Sonoff iHost is a smart home hub on the box, but it is a smart home server powerhouse in reality. It has the processing power similar to a Raspberry Pi4 with the added connectivity suite of a smart home server. Furthermore, it is using Docker images for the add-ons, basically opening it up to whatever ideas you may have.

Thanks for the video. I'm really interested in more add-on, this could be a game changer vs other competitors. One device to handle all features, without need to be experienced in advanced programming.

Thanks for the video. With regarding to Wifi device, did Sonoff say anything about timeline to let iHost manage Wifi device instead of only Zigbee at GA date?

Did all your devices that are listed as compatible appear as an option to sync? Only most of my POW R2/origin have appeared and my only S26. A minority of Basic R2 appear but refuse to sync. My NS Panel does not appear at all. I’m pretty sure I have other stuff supposed to currently be compatible but can’t see them. Odd my NS Panel is invisible but not yours. Checked local mode is enabled.

Great to see this. Hopefully we can avoid using Raspberry pi (Unavailable) and HASS

That is the plan. A few more updates and add-ons and we should be able to do that for most projects :)

Is it Home Assistant based? Is it compatible with HA Add-ons?

It is possible thru the Docker image, but not fully working yet.

I am the owner of 2 iHost instances for about 3 weeks. Apparently in a hurry with the purchase at the lowest price. This device does not know how to do anything, it constantly freezes or goes into an endless reset. Of all the possibilities, it turned out to connect only the GK-200MP2-B video camera. iHost is completely unsuitable for smart home use. It is not solid for developers to modify their product at the expense of buyers. The correct and honest option is to send prototypes to testers for free. I am disheartened.

Make sure to update to 1.5.5 (recent update around May 8th) as it will solve the freezing and other issues finally.
