KMSJN_TRC_ The redstone creator Just use the chord shapes and play around with embellishments, hammer ons etc and you should be able to get pretty close. If not then use you should use your ear/watch his finger positioning - it'll really help in the future be able to pick stuff out by ear :)

D indeed. You can try it yourself to check if the chords match too :D E = standard tuning Eb = half step down D = full step down etc. going down each semitone

This just... wow. Amazing. Seriously. By the way, I'm just being curious here.. what's the difference between the standar tuning (which I think it's E) and Eb? I mean, yeah sure, different tone, but what I mean is, why in that tuning? sorry my english :/
Usually when you tune lower than standard tuning, you do it so that you can use lower notes and/or open chords that are in the key of the song. You can technically play the same chords no matter what tuning you use, but you might have to play them an octave higher (usually bar chords), so you won't get the lower bass notes. Main points? I guess... you can play chords closer to the lower frets (easier), and it depends how you want your chords to sound. I hope that helped a little ^^;; Edit: Oh yeah, and you can see that there's some hammer-ons in this song. Those are easier if you can play them with open chords and you still want the chord to ring. Also, some chords are so much easier to play as open chords.

Basically he's playing in standard tuning, because he's guitar is tuned half a step down but is capo'd on the first fret.
