I believe a lot of people have the same type of nightmares about dying, running, always going to slow when u ur running from some horrible thing trying to kill you.. falling, being stabbed, small room, monsters etc.. also having sleep paralysis is terrifying.. I didn't understand it as a child but as you get older they seem to get better. I went to a therapist about this and night terrors, which I don't remember but my husband does! Lord.. those dreams about really feeling the pain, tasting & smelling blood. all of that it feels so real.. then those ones where u think u wake up but ur still in a dream. I also had a weird thing about every time I looked at the clock it would be 12:16 which is my bday. I also found out other people also have the same issue as well about seeing the same time on the clock.. I remember when I was a kid I would always run and jump onto my bed and off.. scared something would come from under the bed.. they have got less and less the older I get. I am now 33 and have a 5 year old Autistic son. Who now also has bad dreams, unfortunately my son can't tell me anything, or even understand what is happening and it's a dream and not real.. he doesn't understand that yet. But anyway. It took at least a decade to free many of those families to try to pick up the pieces. There were some who never got to reopen their case though due to the overload of so many cases they made back then it was far beyond the tales of children being snatched by horrific strangers. They tore families to pieces too. Such a sad and scary time. My dad always had such a deep seated freezer of my being taken he was super strict and my bedroom was always nearest their room even when my younger brothers were born after they got big enough to move into their own rooms mine was always closest to mom and dad.
