I grabbed a used lot of the core and multiple expansions for the minis, but I tried the game and it is a blast. I have tried to get a local community going, but haven't got much traction to date. I will bring this out for the Extra Life Event and hope to get some more players. I can not wait for this expansion.
This set has a lot of fun things for onslaught. Minis look amazing and well worth it. The reference card is okay to determine whats what but its designed for swampish
In Australia this expansion is $20 more expensive than the core set. I see that as being something of an obstacle for players wanting to get into the game.

Hey Crabbok; I just got into this game. Could you do a purchasing guide? I am confused about what expansions to get and in what order. (I really love the ones you did for Armada, as an example). Not sure if you'd have time, but I'd really appreciate it!
They designed the gameboard so badly you need an extra "reference sheet"! 🤡 Graphically it's nice, but a rule s better than a reference. And the price is so overblown, the game should have included real terrain like Warcry does. Of course GW has also absurd prices, but at least they produce stuff in UK now and not Asia.

Quality has definitely improved. Wiz kids pre painted minis are usually on the cheap looking side. Map and minis alone worth the value.

Really like this game as a fun 2 player DnD themed skirmish game. Wish we could get some local OP going here in Southern Alberta.

They did come out with a rick and morty starter set for wotc just not minis guessing 3 license use.

I don't think it's designed badly at all. Having a reference document is a great option and adds to the functionality.
