Yeah like Milligan they cut their teeth in the military. In the days when you had to work your way up.

I get quite emotional watching the end credits where his music plays and the audience stand up and cheer him and give him a round of applause. I think probably because professionally this may have been the last thing he did that made him truly happy. Maybe I'm wrong and it was just the outpouring of love and praise his peers gave him, I don't know but I think it's rather beautiful.

Nothing like good old droll English humor. Haven't had a laugh like this in years. Watched all 8 parts. Quite a few famous people there. Shelley Winters, Michael Parkinson, Gordon Jackson.

when i first saw KW. in a vid, i couldn t stand him because of his efeminate looks and strange voice, but now ițve almost fallen in love with his personality exactly because hețs sooo unique!

His talent was a force of nature ... he thought he was constrained by the Carry-Ons, but he was master of the entire theatrical gamut.

Yes I have this complete Kenneth Williams performance on video/dvd and it very funny especially when he does impressions of other actors. However the funniest impression I thought was Kenneth imitating a painter on the set of "Encore" - (part of Three Films based on stories of W Somerset Maugham) ,the way Kenneth says "Another Winner Somerset!" cracks me up.Also his impression of a taxi driver when he gave a lift to Lord Bertram Russell famous philosopher -They spoke about the meaning of life. "What's it all about Bertie?" - and do you know the silly twit didn't know!

My memory isn’t the best. I seem to remember Spike Milligan who was part of the Armies entertainment group during WW2. Mentioning working with Williams during the war. Like Spike and others of that time. They were good because they cut their teeth in the military.
