I actually wondering where the actual fans were & after the 1st, I was so uncomfortable cheering, I stopped. Wasn't till OT, the Suits around had left halfway through the 3rd & they let real fans come down to take their seats, that I felt comfortable enough to cheer the way I was expecting to be able to. We beat the Sabres that night BTW. 3-2. Like I said in my own comment, I truly believe they made the lower bowl too steep when that thing was built & due to that, the noise just bounces off the sides of the bowl, has nowhere to go, gets dampened &…. While I do agree w/Adam that Rogers will do a Retrofit of that place eventually, it's not going to fix that. Only a new building will & that's not happening, so…!?! Ever since Olivier entered the lineup he’s been probably the most loved blue jacket of this team. Of all of the fights I’ve ever watched with him, I don’t think he’s ever lost. Montembeault played 19 games up to that point and had 2 shut outs for the bottom of the division at the time Canadiens. At the time when the rosters were due, all the talking heads, including this show, was like 'Canada doesn't have a legit goalie.' This podcast were pointing to the likes of Daccord and not Thompson as being alternative choices to the 3 selections that were cup winner, cup winner, goalie performing above expectations on a subpar team. If he was actually advocating for Thompson back in late November, I'd understand him continuing to harp at this. He wasn't so he needs to stop criticizing the selection as if he happened yesterday. The last 2 months of hockey do not exist when talking about why someone was left off the team.

As someone who used to play goalie.... leasing pads is an incredibly stupid idea. You break your own gear in guys, it wears a certain way, and using random equipment sucks. Also, you usually end up making small alterations to your gear that you'd be unable to do if they were rented.
Ok but why does Mtl dont have this crowd problem when most of the annual seat are own by suits. I think it come down to a culture problem, toronto close the deal at the game and in mtl the seat are a gift for a good deal. Do you think we run any risk of losing our team name or being forced to rebrand because of the team coming to our province ? We think we likely won’t take any impact but wonder if it may affect our production company who helps produce our gear. Would love to hear the guys insight or thoughts.

Seems like you never hear "the fans got the team going" when refering the Leafs. You hear it about other teams but not for the Leafs.

They need to overhaul the whole season ticket scam to get real fans in the building. Have 50% of the seats held by season tickets and the rest available for purchase by real fans. They can release 30% of the remaining seats 2-3 weeks before the game and then 20% of the remaining seats 2-3 days before the game. Make these seats available ONLY to verified fans and not bots.
