I am so sorry, but this is painful to see... I just watched the 1996 Grammy Awards performance with Boyz II Men and there were some comments there saying they were pitchy and off-key!!! when they actually excelled and unfairly didn't get a standing ovation for an amazingly unbelievable performance. Now 19 yrs later... this is really sad. Gosh, instead of struggling so hard, why doesn't Mariah just take a break, take good care of her singing voice and come back a few years from now? Your true fans won't ever forget you, we will still be here.

I just wished I heard her more clearly, even acapella, and gave it get 100% on one song verses a struggle with a whole show. We all know she has a gorgeous voice... The notes sound strenuous and pushed out...

singing for nearly 20 plus years mariah sounds great..ppl that appreciate entertainment will see she's giving it her all and it's mariah Carey lol ppl who pour out criticism need to realize she's human don't forget that!!! occurrences happen.
Wish she didn't lip some of the climatic parts cause by the sounds of her voice, she could definitely hit those notes cause she could hit the one note below them in all of them. She's definitely not struggling to push those notes out and they definitely sound VERY resonant as well.

There is lipping, although may not be obvious but you can hear the difference in the playback she's used. Lipping doesn't mean a whole section is lipped, she could easily record a few of the high notes and tweak in the studio or use previous live recordings, but there is a difference to when she's at the peak of the song and then one or two semitones below she does in her voice. I'm not hating her for it, I know she can hit those notes because her voice sounds as healthy as its ever been when she belts but she just doesn't want to risk it.

A lot of veteran singers don't sing the way they used to. Even Celine Dion lip synchs some of her high notes too :) And also, it's very disrespectful to the artist and to her fans to tell her/him to retire. A lot of people (especially the fans, would still pay a fortune to hear her live)
