His Grace Bishop Linus Okok was my childhood bishop, when my eyes opened it was Fr Joseph (a mzungu) at our Ulanda Mission Catholic Parish, rem seeing Bishop last at the same church when he came to bless the remains of Fr Peter Abon'go , the mood was sombre, the church was filled beyond capacity, His Grace simply blessed the body and left. Fr Lesso was the main celebrant that day. Todate I still miss Fr Abon'go. May the two find eternal rest.
I miss Fr.Abong'o Bong'i . I was a child during his time at Ulanda but to-date I've never seen a priest that connect so well with congregates like he did . To him ,the rich and the poor were equal. May His soul continue to rest in peace..

You mistreated him the Catholic Church treated him like a dog in his last hours of need and now all this show and money spent? Why are you singing to God to forgive him when you didn’t forgive him here on earth? What did he do that you refused to forgive him? Chieeeeth!
What did he do? Because I know that retired catholic bishops and even priests and religious are always very well taken care of. In fact the supreme law of the church in canon 538, 3 says "...The diocesan bishop MUST provide suitable support and housing for a retired pastor. In this case, Archbishop Okoth was the one responsible to make sure that a budget was always available for the upkeep of the bishop till his death and I am sure there was, whether it was adequate or not that's another matter.
@@kokumu2011 No Bishop Okok was for Homa Bay not Kisumu. Homabay would have been responsible in ensuring he had a suitable place to live. Even his former office would be ideal.I wonder who I am to point fingers...
@@gerardokeyo49. His lordship resigned yes as bishop of Homabay but he relocated voluntarily to Kisumu to continue helping his grace emeritus archbishop Okoth with pastoring the archdiocese and I am sure with the approval of the Pope as he could not continue pastoring in another see without the approval of the holy see. By the way, he did not retire but resigned as bishop of Homabay so Homabay was not obligated to take care of him if he decided to serve in another diocese.
The late Bishop offered me a sacrament of Confirmation at Ukwala Parish in September 2009 under Father Fred Odhiambo🙏🙏🙏🙏
