this has been my fav audiotree by far! as a black kid that grew up in the suburbs skateboarding, and listening to bands… the whole “talking white” part struck a chord with me. i remember when kids in middle school used to make fun of me for it. i never really understood it until i got older much love zulu and psalm one ❤
Same, I remember being the only black/mexican skater in my county, and basically the tri-state area. Doesn’t help that I grew up in a small podunk backwoods country town, people used to say I was a demon worshipper and satanist because I listened to bands like Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish, Bring Me The Horizon, Winds of Plague, Oceano, hell even when I listened to Asking Alexandria, Every Time I Die, Chiodos, Memphis May Fire, For Today, Pillar, Underoath, The Devil Wears Prada, Attack! Attack!, they still claimed I was a satanic, pot smoking, deviant.

What a great discovery for me. Thanks. I’ll be playing their songs in my radio show. Greetings from Turkey, Istanbul.
I truly feel like I’ve discovered gold learning about this band! I can’t lie I still mostly listen to rap but I will def put Zulu in my playlist and keep them in rotation
I've found so many good bands through Audiotree over the years, but these fellas might take the cake. Holy shit. Also, if the band is looking at these comments, and the dude playing the JR Jazzmaster sees this; what is that fretboard material? I have the same guitar, but my fretboard is ebony, and that is blowing my mind right now.
i have loved getting into the hardcore scene the past couple years since the pandemic and makes my heart even warmer to see some brothas doing their thing in the scene too, y’all got a new fan in me!
My first thought was “damn the drum sound good.“ As I kept listening to “shine eternally,” I realize I love the chord progression in the chorus. That’s so cool
My dude on the drums is having way too much fun 😅😅😅
because hes new
Guy is an LA jazz legend! Wild to see him pop up here but also makes all the sense in the universes
There is no 'way too much' in having fun, shit is fun to play hahaha
@@christophermarang.3569 you’ve never played drums

Same here, my guy. Except I didn't start skating until last year. And I'm 43.

Zulu sevdiyseniz Jesus Piece de tavsiye edebilirim, biliyor olma ihtimaliniz yüksek gerçi.
Zulu and Soul Glo are my favorite Hardcore bands right now. Happy to see them both shining right now.

Drummer's energy is crazy infectious. I fucking love this band so much
the drummer is having so much fun it cured my hangover
the new drummer is a gem and we need to protect him, god damn his smile can win millions
miss the old drummer, her vocals went so hard
This drummer still killed it though. Let’s not take away from that 🎉
Agreed on both counts. This drummer rules AND Christine's vocals were killer.
Dude gave it 250% killed it. Do you know if he's new or a fill in. He got the chops! @@jamesyistheman
Much different feel without her, miss those vocals for sure
Dez Yusuef's vocals also sound pretty good to me, different but still good
Drummer absolutely rips, what a banger of a set
This was fuckin awesome, I love how healthy the hardcore scene has become. Stage dives and two steps till death.
I will only play as energetically as Mekala from here on out.. I have to be having as much fun watching him as he's having!
