    I learned to fly in Grand Forks in the 70's but haven't been up for many years. You video brings back many good memories. Thanks so much for posting. (And I think I saw you yesterday. 👍)

      Glad you enjoyed it! Sure was bumpy going in there yesterday though. Bumpy enough I was having trouble reading the procedures in the CFS and completely missed it's right hand circuits for 25!

      That mid-day wind yesterday really got vigorous. My brother at the north end of Christina Lake said no wind out here so I guess quit local. All the best.

    Another super video, Dale. And Grand Forks is now on my list of airports to visit too.

    Very enjoyable video. Thank you for the narration. I am not a pilot, so I really appreciate your explanation of having to change altitude to avoid clouds etc. I have lived in many of the communities that you fly to, so love to see the "overhead" views. I have no idea what is being said with all of the ATC chatter. You clearly have a lot of pilots who subscribe to this channel, so you may not be inclined to offer "translation" for us "non-flyers", but I'd be happy to hear a brief explanation every once in a while. 🙂

    We have family in Nelson and Peachland. Have traveled that road several times now. Always make it a point to stop in Grand Forks. There is a restaurant there called The Borscht Bowl. Most likely closed now due to covid but super good Russian food in Grand Forks. Nelson is also very nice by aircraft. Thanks for sharing with us :)

      Thanks I appreciate the feedback. Nelson is in the "coming soon" column.

    Had relatives in Kam. Now in Merritt, nothing of any merit there! You should put a note in the description when your next flight will be so we can follow you on Flightradar!

    Nice video Dale, much improved editing and camera angles... I’m not far behind ya in a Zenith Cruzer this summer! I’m down at Delta Air Park, but looking forward to flying the Okanagan again.

    yet again another awesome flight i really enjoed your footage , have you ever considered flying into castlegar ive heard that it is and can be a challenging airstrip to fly into and out of , would love to see that , thanks for sharing with us and keep up the great work

    • @HowIFly
      @HowIFly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Castlegar is on the list as well. I think it’s more challenging when the weather is poor because of the terrain...not on days like when I will visit

      I have experienced a trip to Calgary and back . Alot of turbulence lol. They try to book flights in the morning but they get canceled. I have lived in Grand Forks and Christina Lake . Now south of Beaverdell, a bear has chased off my Llama and my black 1 has not returned. An aeial point of view would be great .appreciate it if anyone flying overwhelmed area could keep an eye open ...thanks and fabulous video.

    Enjoyed the flight and your commentary along the way. I know on some of your videos you put multi screen clips (such as landing you show the two views.) If at the being you could take a 'screen shot' from Foreflight of the proposed route and just insert that as you taxi out, for your international views that would really assist.
