Their donuts are amazing!! The owners are absolutely wonderful and I’m so sad to hear they’re closing. Sadly doughnut Vault has shut down as well. Two great businesses. 🍩💖
You have cursed them by reviewing them! For vegan cake donuts. . . they were quite good. But with Empire a block away - I would always choose Empire. You should try Yonni's Doughnuts at Discovery Coffee, as well at the new Oso in the Bay Centre. I've had both recently. . . and found them both hella dry and disappointing. But maybe I caught them on a bad day. And yes, A&B Sound could be skeevy, but their 20% off vinyl/cassette/CD promotions were legendary - as were their Boxing Day sales!
The wife and I will be on the island August 10-20th. We are making a stop in Sidney off the ferry and am curious what it the best donut to try at the Sidney bakery? Thanks guys keep up the awesome work
If it’s available ( they only make 9 a day ) my go to is the Texas Donut. I did a show on it. It’s way back in the library. I am also partial to the foot donut as well as the classic long-john. If you like cinnamon buns, the one with extra cream cheese is killer as well!

Would love to try all 3 if I had it my way lol the cinnamon bun I will have to try because as you know Ladysmith Bakery has one of the best cinnamon buns I’ve ever had. I will definitely go back into the library and check out the Sidney bakery. Thanks again for all your work! Big fan from Alberta. 👍
