What an interesting, educational, hypnotizing, entertaining video 👍 Very neat to see what all goes into making a fence, Even down to the staples. Felt like I was watching How's It Made ! Great Video Man. ✌💛
Dude....we slowed down the machines so you could see how they work. If you can't spell "CRIMP" then you most certainly can't re-design this factory that employees thousands of people worldwide. I think your keyboard is getting the best of you...show some respect for the work that went into this video for you to enjoy...not pick apart
Stoney ridge farmer you're a great inspiration to the new TH-camrs special in the UK great to see you around Tom and the fencing people today on TH-cam
Loved this video. It reminded me of when I was about 10 years old, my father took me to a machine tool exhibition in London. I saw machines making screws from rolls of wire - cutting the lengths, rolling the threads, forming different head styles and spitting out finished screws at machine-gun speed. Awesome. But the most astonishing to me was a lathe, turning the bearings on a ship engine crankshaft that was probably around 8 feet long - between centres. I also saw demos of the outrageous lathe cuts that could be made with the 'new' carbide tool tips and floods of bright pink Cincinnati Milacron coolant. The sort of things you never forget. It's really sad that so much of that manufacturing legacy is now gone, but thanks for bringing back the memories!
Super interesting Josh. Thanks so much for coming over and taking us round the factory. I’m English, l grew up and live in central England, and I have no idea what that lady said! We are a land of accents, I have heard it said that the accent changes every 25 miles! Loved the video!
I haven't work on a farm in 20 years. I just bought some property and I'm starting from scratch. Yer videos have tons of great info. I really appreciate the time you've put into this.
Always fun to see how everyday items are made. Mechanization, assembly-lines, electricity and the geniuses who figured out how to make it all flow to create a repeatable finished product are what makes us all so efficient. That crimp along the wire to account for temperature changes with the seasons is sweet. Thanks for taking us along for the tour!
..brilliant stuff. Just been round my croft (small holding in NW Scotland) looking at these wires, and wondering how the hell they're made, trying to imagine the machines that make them. A quick youtube search and came up with this.. Many thanks..
In the late 70’s I got to tour Atlantic Steel in downtown Atlanta(site is now Atlantic Station Mall W/IKEA). They had a foundry which took scrap metal and made the wire, then fencing, nails, staples and all. It was a really nasty and dirty place. It was great!
A lot of negative comments here about buying from the Uk 🇬🇧 come on guys what about all the great products we import from the US 👍 great series on your UK visit Josh, your a top guy.
Glad you got overseas to see the wire being made! Anyone from the factory volunteer to help you install the fencing? I know you loved driving on the wrong side of the road! I am hoping you and the Mrs. got some relaxation time in! All the best!
Hey Josh. I can't believe we all speak the same language. I can barely make out what those guys are saying and I've been living overseas for 14 years. I really applaud them for opening their doors and allowing us colonists to see their wire factory. Outstanding stuff. Cheers. ~Mike and Ester~
The machinery is amazing it reminds me. A little of the machinery and process on how Chains are made but with a lot more sophisticated and highly detailed steps
Wow! I am already a subscriber but found this just because I was curious and searched how the woven wire I just finished putting in was made. Thank you so much for taking the time and expense to make this video. It was awesome to see!
Great vlog Mate. Hope you enjoyed your stay in the UK . Next time you need to come to Devon and visit Dartmoor. Breathtaking scenery all around the coast of Devon and cornwall. Keep doing what your doing mate. Love it.
Believe it or not, I was awake in the wee hours of yesterday morning wondering how wire was made. Thank you very much for putting this perfect video together for me! :-)
Man that was a fine video!!! It’s always interesting to see how things are actually made. The tornado fencing looks top notch, I think you guys will get a lifetime of service out of that!!!! Glad you enjoyed your trip too!!!!
Well I must say that was very intriguing and educational I never knew how I wire fence was produced up until this video I always wondered how they made all those little twist and those special wire ties and bondings very interesting brother Josh thank you for this video now I have a new outlook on how these fences and barbed wire fences are manufactured. Can't wait to see you in action on the farm applying some of these fence products to your property God bless you brother and your family and thank you for inviting each and everyone of us followers who follow your channel into your home and into your life and tell the ones that you met in the UK thank you for showing this to us we have a different outlook on America as far as the production in manufacturing industry goes in other countries.. just awesome. Awesome
Thanks Wilde....glad ya enjoyed the video...this was an awesome day! So privileged to go see all this at work! And so glad I could take you along with me!
I finally took the time to watch this video. Absolutely fascinating. The engineering that went into the machines they use is nothing short of genius. Looks like Josh has access that may have been unprecedented.
So very interesting to see how my wire was made. Putting up deer fence around an apple orchard in Michigan and I'm using the Titan 2096-6. Luke at Farm Fence Solutions in Worthington Indiana was great to deal with too!
Hello from your friendly former TI in Seguin TX. Thst was the coolest most educational video I have ever seen. I'm saving so I can watch it over and over.
Interesting indeed! I still find it fascinating how machines are designed and built to make our lives easier in the long run. Can you imagine the trial and error processes people have gone thru to find a way to automate all of this? Mighty cool. Thanks for sharing with us. :)
Excellent. I love to see how things are made. One of the most efficient and clean factories I've seen. This company is magnificent. Great video. Keep up the good work.
I liked the tour. they invented Barbwire here in Dekalb Illinois. the Glidden family invented it, and the Elwood family had the money manufacture it. long before my time.
Cool stuff! I'm always intrigued by automated equipment like that. Thanks for the in depth look into fence wire making! It looks like you had fun with those folks.
it does take a bit of time to analyze a process. Many moons ago I designed and built a machine to make masonry nails for a popular brand nailgun. It produced 9/sec nail gun nails with washer. Getting a washer crimp at the right spot on the nail, so it does not damage drywalling or timber battens.
I am amazed by all of this. Thank you for sharing with us. I am very impressed with the technology that went into this operation and the work that must exist to keep it up and running.

Working with wires and staples long time first time I seen it thanks
glad ya enjoyed it buddy!
This was fun to watch. It reminded me of watching Mr. Rogers visiting factories. Thanks for the nostalgia, education, and laughs.
Hope you have enjoyed our fantastic country great video Josh very interesting.

I was really impressed, not only with how the different wiring is made, but how clean the machines and the factory is. Wooooo

From the rod to wire is interesting. Staples nails from rail road spikes to roofing nails cool.

Different and entertaining. People need to see more like this to realise what it takes to make stuff they take for granted.
Beautiful works you are doing
Enjoy watching your video
I appreciate you sharing this process.

This was awesome to watch. Thank you
I’ve pulled a many a mile of fence wire but never knew exactly how it was made. Thanks for putting this video together. Have a BLESSED Day. 🇺🇸🤠💚
