Fun 014 Regardless of what happens in show canon, you can still ship your favorite couples and have them actually together in fan fiction/art. Klance isn't going to become canon in the show. The showrunners have shot the ship down in an interview from like 2017 "we can't go back in and write Keith and Lance falling in love". Even a voice actor shook their head no while saying "oh babies" when asked if Klance shippers should keep hoping. Writing the story and doing the animation is a long process. (It's been written years ago) Once the story is locked in, big changes can't really happen. Also it wasn't Netflix that made Shiro gay, it was the cast and crew of Voltron who fought hard for it to be shown in the series. Higher ups almost made Shiro's ex to be his roommate
