I never agreed on a solo trip, until watched my roommate embark on a journey to explore bits of South Korea that were hidden not to be missed. Encouraged by the limited time that I had left for my exchange journey, I decided to do two trips alone: one is near Busan (Pohang) and the other is almost 2 hours away from Seoul and a few kilometers away from DMZ, the North Korean and South Korean border (Paju). To be fair, these trips were worrisome but at the same time meaningful as I stepped out of my comfort zone to embrace other cities I wanted to explore. Who knows after this experience, I was doing more solo trips and was braver than ever to go out alone?
