- Here it is....Lego Batman 1989! Very proud of how this came out, i really focused on stuff like lighting and set design, and i think it really paid off! Super proud of a lot of the shots, the final confrontation is some of the best work I've ever done! it took a lot of time and effort (and various re tries) to achieve the look i wanted for some of these scenes, but i did it! Most of these scenes are 1:1 (all camera angles replicated) and some are shot for shot too!
just wanted to note that the video was originally 15 minutes long, but it kept getting blocked worldwide so i had to trim many parts of it, a lot of these scenes were originally longer (grissoms death, hand shake, final confrontation etc) but i feel like it doesn't take away from the video, and what I've got here is the best of it all anyway. and it condenses it nicely.
it was 53 hours on and off, and 11,365 frames (although due to the cuts that number is now less) but it was all worth it!

This is way underrated. Great work! The final battle between Batman and the joker had me cackling many times, the way the joker stumbles backwards all over the place 😭✋
Thanks haha. That final confrontation bit was one of my favourite things I've animated, specifically Joker's death.

You should make batman returns next, i mean i know they dont have batman returns catwoman and penguin but it would still be cool
I don't really like batman returns as much to do a recreation of it. The 2 movies i did in lego (Spider-Man 2002 and Batman 1989) are movies i really love and are passionate about. They take a lot of work to make, so I'm very selective about what movies i actually decide to make. I have a list of other franchises i wanna do these recreations for, so to always have something fresh and a new franchise every time.

Yo great work, but I just noticed a few close up scenes were kinda blurry, did you use the zoom on your camera or phone or did you crop it for them? If so i'd recommend just putting the camera closer if possible cause it might look a bit better, it didnt look bad just it would make the overall quality a bit better I reckon. Anyways let me know if it works for you and good work on this otherwise.
Thank you! Yes the close ups are all digital zoom, but the ISO is like 1250 in some shots which definitely contributes to the grain, if you've seen any of my more recent animations you'll notice that it's not a problem anymore, obviously after a certain point though the focus reaches its limit and you can't move the camera any closer, and you'd have to zoom in. Most of if not all my shots have some form of digital zoom to them, i just try to minimise it.

I would like to do that, but i don't love batman returns as much as batman 1989. I also don't really have the penguin or catwoman that would look like the characters in the film

I have considered it, but lego never made a catwoman or penguin or even batman from batman returns, the suit is different in the second one. Plus i also don't love the movie that much to do it in lego

No and i don't intend on doing that. I'm not skilled enough to do it
@@CLEGOFILMS1 I also recommend that you find pieces from minifigures and stick them together to create custom characters. For example, you could use Doc Brown's hair for a custom Max Shreck.
I'm not gonna do batman returns. I wasn't too fond on the movie so the passion won't be there sorry. But the custom pieces idea is useful for other videos, I've done it before to create characters.
Do you guys some times feel likes that cowl makes the minifigure to feel a little heavy
Yeah that cowl made everything harder. You can even see it pulls off a little in some shots when his arm goes up too high.

It's a great figure and i recommend picking one up, but it's very fidgety to do action with. Everything else is fine
