For 20+ years of my 34 years on this earth, i never once heard of people genuinely believing the earth is flat. But like you said, here we are.

my brother is now extremely anti vax and a covid denier because his girlfriend got him into these facebook conspiracy groups and now our relationship is forever marred by this. I have an autoimmune disease that makes me super vulnerable to respiratory illnesses and the vaccine virtually does nothing for me (hence why we need others to be vaccinated). He's been there when I was a kid in the hospital on ventilators myself so the fact that he chose an unproven ideal over everything else that we know and have been through together will be something I can never forget. It feels like shit.
I feel really bad for that first woman, she is in pain. I hope she finds a way to snap out of it.
I wouldn't doubt that no a single one of these people will snap out of this shit. Once they are in that deep, they just keep falling deeper and deeper.
The divide in this country is too great to ever be repaired at this point. We are nearing the end. Strap in, and enjoy yourself while you still can.

When Ethan said that all conspiracies come from antisemitism he was not wrong. I took a college course in conspiracy theory, and pretty much all theories are built on the foundation of antisemitic beliefs

This is funny to me because what Ethan said about qanon tearing families apart really hit home to me, but replace qanon with Christianity. It's hard to have a relationship with your family when they believe that nothing on earth matters, and I am doomed to eternal suffering in a molten lake of fire because I don't subscribe to their flavor of higher power. It's all very ridiculous.

@@RabidDisposition well they didn't let him go, they strong armed him into quitting because they were asking for too much and not giving the equivalent back. A contract is there so later on one side doesnt try to take advantage of the other side, but also it's a piece of paper, that can literally be scrapped and changed at anytime. So Andrew and his team became huge and their contract wasn't updated to meet those new perimeters, they wanted to keep treating him like he was the same kid they met when they made their original deal. t's sad he lost what he created but there are evil selfish greedy people in this world that will take advantage of you if you're not careful. Just part of the game. But Andrew came out on top and that's what matters.

We had a soon to be abandoned mall by my house growing up. And the kids used to buy “fart bombs” at the novelty store. And they would smack them and toss them. One time they put one in the tunnel play place at zonkers (a play area/theme park type place) and shut the mall down for the day bc it got into the vents. Another time the boa constrictor at the pet store got out and all the employees just had to be on the lookout in the mall.

You can't be permanently banned or removed from Facebook.
Their terms of service don't allow it, all they can do is get you to a point where you receive a 30day ban on posting and 60day bans on livestreaming or boosted advertising every time you break community guidelines.
These people are crazy but the algorithm for words on Facebook isn't a joke, here in Australia people get slapped by it all the time for using the word *cunt* in normal conversation
