Your doggy is the sweetest! I love monsteras - I recently chopped all of mines just because 😝 anyways, I have grown albos in pon and they grow nicely. I am doing the same with some áurea cuttings. I do not use self watering pots, however. And to propagate, I use plane water 🤓 My Monstera Áurea is relatively balanced but it throws all-yellow leaves from time to time, and those do last a few weeks before beginning to brown. I find that with áureas, NOT LETTING IT DRY OUT helps a lot. Also, light: I have it in a bright spot but direct light does not touch it. Definitely the auras are more temperamental than the other types of monsteras in my experience. Happy growing! I really enjoy your videos. 😌
I boil my pon & when drained & still hot I spread it on a towel (not a fluffy one) that’s covering an ikea tray-the clear one…you know the kind 🤣. I then sift through it to pick the leca out-it dries enough to not feel wet & stick, honestly it’s great! Wet pon drives me mad-sticking to my fingers etc xxx
PON: I rinse it really good in a large mesh bag. Then I put it out in the sun (and move it through the day) to dry out. It isn't totally dry when I bring it inside, but it is way better!! It doesn't stay wet for long. :-)
New here and I was sad when you cut it too lol but your doing so good lol I’m a new plant mom and moline keep browning /: I have great soil mix and lighting from the window !
I bake my pon instead of boiling to sterilize. I usually just do like 350F for half an hour but people have down lower or higher heat for different times
My monstera aurea has 14 leaves and there is only two small brown spots on the two oldest leaves from before I got it. The newest 12 leaves have no browning- only thing I do differently is I grow it in stratum and perlite long term. No idea if that makes a difference but my specimen is basically brown free and it seems to be the only thing I do differently from other growers.
Maybe if I film repotting and adding an extension pole to my monstera. It’s leaning forward, a lot! When it gets touched it really wobbles. It might get me to stop putting it off.
All my aurea cuttings are in pon and thriving...nodes have activated and new growth and the browning is at very minimum...so do think there is something to it...
Hi have you tried silicon for browning? I use it on my Thai, albo, manjula and syngonium albo and I don't get no browning at all. Been using it for 4 months.
How do you have the nerve to cut your Monsteras? I lost my second beautiful Thai constellation after trying to save it from rot. I lost an Aurea to rot so I repurchased one with an arial root.
You made a good decision not to bury the stump of your Albo,I buried mine on my Thai cuttings and yes they started to rot at the chunks,to save them I re-did them and let the stumps just sit on the top soil and buried just the roots, they were all spared. 💚🪴🌿👍🏼
Pon is my go-to for all my varigated Monsteras, they'll rot on me otherwise 😅 Works for me! I think your monstera will love it!

The pot is the perfect size.

Do you use a kitchen towel?
Hi Claudia. I just bought an albo cutting a month ago and potted it in pon. It is rooting nicely and pushing out a growth point. I’m very excited!! 🤗
This is so exciting and reassuring! Thank you for sharing 🤗
Try adding silica to help prevent browning leaves. Works for mine
You can circle the air roots inside and around the pot. They will become soil roots in no time instead of being outside and looking messy.
It won’t hurt to wait a couple more weeks for the growth point to grow more.
💚

Good afternoon Claudia! I’ve been waiting for part three. I’m glad you didn’t make us wait too long. It’s a great series.

They make a variegated money tree!?! I’d go for that.
hi ,i really enjoy your videos and this series is great , 🙂
Thank you so much! 🫶
Hi Claudia. Here to watch you work your tail off. Lol
After filming part 4, I’m beat!

I would love to have an aurea cutting someday. ❤❤❤ You have a beautiful plant.
I’m definitely feeling really guilty about saying I didn’t like it. I hope I can grow it better now that I’m restarting

I always forget to put myco on the roots so spreading on the soil and watering it in

The last one looks a little wobbly.

90% of my plants are in leca and pon and mixed they grow so much better, never going back to soil😂
Thank you for your tip about putting leca and pon in the oven just boiled a load of it, that my pet hate for it to dry.
I have all of my monsteras in pon right now and most are doing well. One was kept too wet and started to rot. Now I don’t keep much of a reservoir
My monstera aurea was growing in pon and it was still browning a lot 😔
Hi, I’m new here, what is that my o bliss? What is its purpose? Thank you ❤
Keep it only if you just can’t part with it.
