Nice job man. This is why I love Tamiya. They’re not the best performers, but they’re more like drivable models. You can’t touch that level of detail with more mainstream brands.
That's awesome. I told you there's nothing like the feeling of driving a car you actually built. That's why I've loved Tamiya since I was a kid. That turned out great. Great job Halley and Ethan.
This Audi look sick, love it. Specially the real ones🤤. Tamiya kit are absolutely the top on the industry, infact I absolutely and highly suggest to build a semi-truck from them,if you can. Thank you as always for your vids .
Audi is pretty cool, i did my internship at audi factory in neckarsulm right when they had bought lamborghini and also had thr w12 motors from VW as they are part of the wolfsburg group. I always wanted to try and build a tt02....weird thing was my boss at audi had a wallpaper of mercedes on his pc. I asked him why and he said cuz mercedes spends 3x as many hrs on each cars as audi...this was 2002..but still pretty cool cars...and crazy for a kid from australia to see. Now working in u.s hehe
Ha! That sounds like a cool gig. That’s when I was in high school and lusted after everything the VW-Audi group was doing. I only lust after a few Mercedes. I’ve never owned one but they’re cool.
That Audi came out super clean, looks awesome! I have a 63 ghia w/ the gulf type livery on it that I've been wanting to do in RC form w/ the Tamiya car But , I think the painting part is what holds me back lol. DTM epic greatness!
Why does this remind me of an early Top Gear episode 🤔 I dig it! Those wheels are pretty dope! When you posted on IG about dream cars, I so want to build a Daytona!
very cool man. really digging the headlights! i'm on my first Audi at 31 and i gotta say, it's a lot more fun than i had expected. thanks for the audi history lesson too lol
Beautiful rig! Most of the cars I've had are either too unusual, or too vanilla for even Tamiya to make a body, lol. Glad you were able to recreate one if yours! I enjoy building the Tamiya TT02s, and agree with your recommendation. They're simple, sturdy, cusomizable and upgradeable. It does takes me a little longer to build, because I tap the holes for SS machine screws and customize the suspension for rally racing.

DTM is my favorite body style/racing, especially the older 90’s cars. I just put a Mercedes DTM body on my mini-z that I had (also a spare redbull audi DTM body) just love the look!
Well done sir for trying to replicate your own car. I'm currently looking for a Calibra bodyshell that's not a DTM to recreate my favourite car I owned 👍
Bro , i have been looking forward to this video, great content like always, beautiful video editing, this is better then watching a movie. You guys are always go above and beyond! Thank you 😉👍🏼💯

cool work thx... the body looks like a audi 200 - the big beast - see the fused rearlights.... named later model the A8 , 100 later A6, 80 later A4... greetings from germany (non audi driver)
I finished my first TT02 a couple weeks ago. I went with the Mazda 3 body option because I'm a sucker for hatchbacks. I've had it just sitting since I botched the paint on the body and haven't been able to order a new one yet.
like the all black, more details on magnetic body post mounting / brand, love the torque/sport tuned motors fm tamiya, some reason they run cool to the touch after a whole battery
my first car was a 91 celica gt. so always have a soft spot for them even though I've had way better cars since. looking into getting a TT02 and building it into an ST185 celica gt-4 rally car
I’m actually looking to do the same thing to replicate my current black Audi and was wondering where you got the magnet posts and how you don’t have the body holes for the posts
Yes! Exactly! We love cars too. If you have time to check out our videos too, that would be awesome to hear your insights and of course to share our common love for cars.
The Audi looks good dude. I know the feeling of looking for a replica body, I've been trying to find a stock body 240sx coupe s13 (with flip ups) for a while. The closest I could find is APlastics but its wide body-ish, so I guess I gotta wide body my car to match my rc??
Do you have a twin brother that does youtube also? Because i swear you look and your voice sounds exactly the same as a dude that opens pokemon cards. Its crazy!

I just hit near 75mph with mine and wow, what a rush!

That was an amazing idea man!
Everyone should build a replica of their first car :D
Such sentimental value!
My first car was a VW Jetta 1.8 turbo.

DTM races would be pretty awesome!
Soon!!
I enjoyed the live build, and it drives well...result! The see through windows do look good after all.
I agree. Thanks for watching!
Came out great I'm happy I followed along on the live stream. I like the racing history behind these cars.
M3 is in the works.
Must be a blast bringing something from your past into RC reality !! Keep up the good work 👏
