a treat for the hens; in boiling water I let whole potatoes, carrots, rice and salt boil for 7-8 minutes, then I pour out the water and leave them closed to cool,,,then I grate them on a coarse grater and they become a delicacy for hens

Both are no egg withdrawals for one time use. You can get them from feed store. Regarding the cost, please search on line, it depends on where you live.
