Ep.1 Van to Camper: DIY Conversion for Le Mans 24 Hour -The Starting Blocks

All in with the T5! I'm prepping to camp at 'Le Mans 24h' Why have I left the van this late to start? Let's have a look around what I've got to start with, worse than I thought!
Not being much of a camper I've left it way too late to start thinking about the conversion, but now I'm focused on the deadline of a week in France at one of the best race events

Looking good after Winter. Nice to see new productions this year. Lot of work to do but should add value too. I too like Corrados and maybe you also need iconic archetypal Germanic saloons on too such as a Vento to balance the content. 👍

Agreed Mr White, lot more videos coming this year, some of them might be good!!
Certainly when the Van is more complete some further German vehicles will feature, I do like a good vento, balance handling as well 😁

75 days and counting til my road trip, the van suddenly gets priority! But I do hope to actually get some miles on it and that means plenty opportunity for content, unless nothing breaks!!

Paint job is is a real win.. looking forward to see the direction you go with the interior. My Mk2 cold start issues haven't returned after your video on the subject.. also dipped into the calliper refurb video which was very helpful (although I should have left the handbrake mechanism alone like you did.. very tricky to get back together and taking it apart was a little pointless in the end).

The handbrake is hard work, best left unless it's not right!

I've been watching your videos tonight, awesome work mate, hats off to you, can I just say I reckon it would look cool with a thin red pinstripe sat between the grey and white to finish it off, also what wheels have you got on it? Look like Ford centre badges lol

I've been thinking about a good old pinstripe, Halfords don't stock them anymore!! I was thinking orange to match the my logo or red, may have to see how the interior goes
