I received two pufferfish this year as a gift. I love them! Even in their first year: Strong stems, early blooming. They bloomed at the same time or earlier than my quickfires. They are planted in full sun zone 7. I noticed they need more water than my other panicles. They can start to wilt easily. They aren’t as heat tolerant/need more water as my limelight primes. I sprayed the leaves with wiltpruf and that seems to help. They are gorgeous and do not flop on me. Highly recommend!
Heidi: Jes the singin' gardener just stumbled on your garden center + she was utterly entranced by your designs + the quality + arrangement of your beautiful plants!!
Hydrangeas are my favorite, I purchased Little Lime Punch last year and it was beautiful, hopefully does even better this year. Thanks for the update of new shrubs!
Agreed with firelight tidbit. It is my most favorite panicle hydrangea. It’s so beautiful in person. The color transition is amazingly beautiful. It looks like a painting. Make sure it will receive a bit of afternoon sunlight break . Videos and pictures online don’t do it justice. It’s a must to have if you love hydrangeas. I am in zone 5b 🇺🇸.
Thanks so much for all the visuals and information! What a great video. Other gardening channels just have the host talking and might briefly put up visuals which I never understood. It’s like we know what you look like, show us the plants! 😊
So much fun to learn all the plants I can spend all my disposable income on! I have a question, as a semi new gardener. When you say the Cedar Rapids is a fast grower, how do much yearly growth-after established? It is one of my new favorites as of today! Thank you for so much inspiration and education ❤
Thanks for the “coming soon” update! Puffer Fish is already on my wish list for new hydrangeas (as is Grin & Tonic 😊) - and how perfectly named is it?! - but now I have to add Desert Orchid as well! What an unusual shrub (for those of us in zone 6, anyway). I’d never heard of it before. Flowers look a bit like snapdragons! Really interesting. I love that it’s a Summer bloomer, too - I can see this taking over from Rhododendrons in the seasonal “bloom flow” of a garden.
Ah man, now I have to add Top Fun to my buying list, too! My wallet is very upset with this video 😂 The Tuff Stuff series has become my favourite - just so tough as the name implies. I have very little shade and they power through hot dry summers yet can also take it when we get a week of non-stop rain. And the lace cap look has really grown on me - I think I prefer it now. Highly recommend this series for anyone who hasn’t tried them yet 👍🏻
Thanks Heidi for another great video! Which of these beautiful shrubs will you be planting in your garden? I’m interested in the hydrangeas you mentioned. I just have to find the space for them. P.S. I loved Top Gun too!
Do you think the Cedar Rapids looks good on it’s own or is it a better look for hedging only? Are they fairly fast growing? Zone 6-ish outside of Niagara Falls in Canada. 🇨🇦 Good content and info, subscribed today. *** I think I got my answer from your link, I guess it will depend on my zone for growth. Thanks for the links, much appreciated, well done!
New Subscriber I loved this video. I’m in zone 9b Northern California. I would love to order some of your plants. What’s the website address to order your plants from. Thank you so much 🙏
I’m a zone 3 maybe 4, I hate sitting through the videos only to find nothing for me. Your videos are amazing but I can’t grow any of these plants. Maybe a curtesy heads up of zone range prior to presentation like the plants I’m going to show you range from 5 to 9 something like that.

Good morning - thanks for highlighting the new PW shrubs - wow the paraplu adorned has amazing foliage - looking forward to that one!! 🤩👍
It really does. I have not seen anything like it.
Think I’m going to try out that quince, I plan to place my spring order on your site tomorrow, hopefully that quince will be available.
Thank you for gardening us. We have plenty as of now.
Excited to see the new quince! So pretty and I love that it's thornless!
It has been a top seller

Yes I would say average to fast growth rate
This was well done. Thanks for the info. Will checkout the Perennials vid.
Glad it was helpful! We have a New for 2023 Perennial and Annual video also posted.
Thanks for the “coming soon” update!

This list continues. lol I also am liking El Nino, I had never seen anything like that before.
Top Fun has bolder color flowers than any in this series. Exciting!
Great info! Thanks! FYI-Hibiscus and Spirea grow prolifically in our Texas Gulf Coast Zone 9.
That is awesome. Both are great plants
Thanks Heidi for another great video! Which of these beautiful shrubs will you be planting in your garden? I’m interested in the hydrangeas you mentioned. I just have to find the space for them. P.S. I loved Top Gun too!
I have Firelight Tidbit already planted. Puffer Fish has a place saved for it. I am going to have to find a place for Top Fun.
Will that puffer fish handle zone 7 HOT sun in East TN? I think my favorite on this video is the Puffer Fish and the Chitalpa
I would recommend maybe apart shade location. I think if you keep it well watered that would help.
@@gardencrossings thank you for quick reply. East TN hot sun front of house is a challenging spot for shrubs for sure

For the white Quince bloom time. When you say continuous all season?? Or on and off lightly??
Heidi I looked it up. Lol I should watch the whole video before I start asking questions!🤣
lol. no problem.

Thanks for subbing! www.gardencrossings.com The link is in the description below as well as links to each plant.
Absolutely great shrubs and colors except that pollinators can not find any nectar on Hydrangeas
Lace cap hydrangeas are better for the pollinators.
Gran dia
"Great Day" thank you
I like that they are deer resistant 😂
Thank you
When is the best time to plant these?
It will depend on where you live. We start shipping the end of March depending on your zone.
That “edible rose” line is such a marketing gimmick. All rose petals are edible!
Really I didn't know that. Even the miniature rose you get at the supermarket??? 🤔🤔🤔
Some have better texture and flavor than others.
