Ethan's products are definitely top notch. I would definitely get some mule jigs in a couple sizes. I haven't had too much issues with having to adjust my lure when using his baits with his jigs.

Thank God you weren't hit by that "Widowmaker", I really enjoy your videos. I have fished creeks for years. My experience with Widowmakers was 35 years ago I was squirrel hunting on a dead calm morning, I had been sitting near a ditch for a while watching. Finally I saw a squirrel a ways off so I moved towards it, I hadn't walked 100 feet from my spot I was just sitting when a huge tree fell right where I had been sitting a minute before. It was about 2 feet across at the base, plenty big enough to squash me.

Along with Chubs , so they all got added to my pond
Great lures, so good they run out of stock pretty quick, and the name origin story is very personal, I highly recommend reading it.

Lots of fun in clear water when you can watch a bluegill snatch a lure almost out of a bass' mouth.

Sometimes the night before I go fishing I will superglue a few grub curly tails or paddle tails to jig heads the night before. They stay on fairly good that way. I use a small empty plastic aspirin type bottle to carry 4-5 jigs. Just carry a folding knife, pliers, my small bottle of jigs.

You need mule jigs there have a keeper on them to keep the mule baits on I have caught well over 100 bluegill on 1 donkey tail jr before the pulled the tail off but it still worked great 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

Yet again, another example why Creek Fishing Adventures is the top channel I watch. This man doesn't shy away from the simple act of catching anything that bites. Yes a big bass is great, but sometimes just being outside, near the water (or in it) is all that's needed.
I try to always have a single ear bud in and have my audio bible going. Hearing God's word, while experiencing his creation is a wonderful experience.

Do you ever fish barbless? When we are fishing for small perch we usually crimp down the barb so it’s easier to remove the hook. You don’t seem to have a problem with that. Should I use bigger hooks? I usually use a 10 or maybe an 8 for sunfish and trout.
If you order again, do yourself a favor and pick up the jig heads to go with the plastics. You'll spend much less time fixing your plastic due to the unique keeper built into the jig head. I've landed close to 100 fish on one donkey tail jr before the swim boot finally was bitten off. He makes a great lure.

Little old man reminiscing… when I was a kid I’d ride the drawbar of my uncles tractor to a creek. He’d drop me off and go on to work in the fields. At noon he’d pick me up and we’d go back to the house for lunch. After, I’d clean my catch and we’d have them for supper. Of course I was using worms and grasshoppers, but those were the days.

Donkey tail juniors are my go to when I hit the creeks they are stretchy and sometimes when the fish grab on they slide off the jig head. I found that a drop of super glue is my best friend when using them

sweet sweet bluegill steaks but be careful where you eat them from - also go in opposite extreme and use these fish as bait - chum with bread and corn and hook carp and big bluegill, use the smallish ones as bait on a balloon and swivel on fluro and circle hook? you may want some variation - you could catch a 8-10lb bass more easily with big live bait (possibly) also think big live bait for big smallies - you have an excuse to microfish creeks - try the shenandoah again but try for places with lots of rapids - it gets low and places change #gamatsu octopus

Wow I didn't realize that's where you were standing when the tree limb fell until you mentioned it. That would've scared me pretty bad. Ethan loves ultra light fishing and those baits work really well for that. Durability really helps out when fishing for panfish. 👊👍

Those Mule jigs are fantastic! Today I caught a 6 pound bass on the smallest ultralight rig I have (5ft rod, 1000 size Daiwa Tatula and 4 pound Berkley Nano-Fil line) with a full-sized Donkey Tail jig and 1/16oz jig head. Can't believe I landed her but it was a crazy, nail-biter of a fight. I'm definitely sold on those Mule jigs!

Nice work.. Out of curiosity, why don't you fish ultra light gear in creeks like that? Those small bluegill on UL with 2-4lb test makes it seem like a 10lb largemouth.. Thats my absolute favorite way to fish small creeks..

What is happening around here (Arlington Va by DC) is all the creeks are getting silted up and the holes are filling with sand.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Love the adventure today. Nice run with the new baits and wonderful mixed bag catch. Mule baits looked cool, glad that branch didn't gitcha. I know you don't ice fish but the Custom Jigs and Spins lineup too. The Ratso, Shrimpo and Ratfinkee Jigs are great for ultralight fishing. We slay them up north in open water. I had a day like that Sunday on the North Chick which runs behind my house. Rock bass, bluegill, green sunfish, pumpkinseed every other cast on Bobby Garlands. One bass that I swear was a Coosa. He jumped out of my hands before I could snap a pic but it had the markings and the blue around the throat and lower jaw and gills and the red eyes. I didn’t know they were in Tennessee. I could’ve miss-id’d it but I’m 90% certain that’s what it was.

Absolutely luv small stream fishing 🎣 can't stand big rivers ppl die there. My dad rented a cabin on the Muskingdom river in Ohio. John catch your bait at the riffles crawdads for Big Small mouth I had this huge deep hole in a stream near my home growing up but no bites on worms but I always noticed crawdad parts in the stream. It was so cool & deep. I found a 🦐 smaller pool more up the stream I caught 1 that didn't real want my piece of worm then another day I threw a crawdad BAM! I was using a limb line, I dad locked up the shed I got caught driving under age. Didn't get my license till 17. Watch out for snakes 🐍. I lost my distant vision & almost got bitten by a Moccasin in Ky. And a large black snake 🐍 picking blackberries in Ohio. Off 4 family I was the one that lost my perfect vision. I lost my dad's brand new $40 Zebco 404 I couldn't see the line & a guess it was a huge carp yanked it out of my Y stick poke holder. Later about a 6 ft black snake 🐍 was basking near our Rock bass honey 🍯 hole. Scared the crap out of me! The snake 🐍 was Traumatized too my screaming & yelling by the railroad.
