4:57-6:04: Montage plays through the hero's mind of the previous adventures they had with the final boss (former friend)
6:04-6:21-The hero stands for one final attack
6:21-6:59-The fight resumes at a fast and furious pace, the villain is overwhelmed
6:59-end: Hero kills boss and wins.
been listening to 8-bit remixes for about a week straight, this might be the most well-done one i've heard.

The people who say it's garbage, because this is barely even 8-bit. It takes pretty much no advantage of the 8-bit hardware of the time as it's just a MIDI thrown into a soundfont or something.

Some company should just bring out another 8-bit style game and have a bunch of modern songs 8-Bit style remixed as the music
I say another 8-bit game because they are like 90% better than most games today, they were all about game play and difficulty and buttons that didn't work even though you swear you hit it when jumping between platforms and fell to your death. Plus this music would only fit with it.
