Happy pride month!!! Glee did a lot of things wrong, like the biphobia and so on but the many lgbtq+ characters in the show will forever be impactful. So here’s a little edit of some lgbtqia+ moments in honor of pride month:) And also TYSM for 1k subscribers💙
Agreed! The show was super biphobic:( And yes I wish we saw more of Brittanys story!!! But I think we never actually saw her come out because she’s always been very open about her sexuality since the 1st season.
Not everyone has a coming out, some people do just naturally transition to who they are without labels or a massive self-acceptance struggle. While this and many shows seem to perpetuate biphobia, I actually appreciate the rare lack of spectacle over a character's orientation as they blossom. It's reality for a lot of people too, and every character coming to terms with their sexuality being a large to-do can put pressure on youth to do the same. Everyone's reality is different, and normalizing it as natural is also very nice for some of us :)
@@noonewashere6458 No, it's not in this case. They just treated Brtitany as a sub-character who only dated boys and girls because she would sleep with anyone, equating being bi to being promiscuous. The show was very biphobic and Brittany's character checked every bi stereotype there is. Her sexuality was never treated as a proper sexuality, Santana was always afraid of losing her to men, when she was dating Artie, she didn't think sleeping with Santana was cheating because they were both girls, when she was dating Sam, she said that she missed her "lady kisses" and broke up with him with no regards to his feelings, and so much more. They made a whole episode to celebrate Santana's sexuality, but never stopped to mention Brittany at all and how she was also being affected by the outing. She was basically just a placeholder for relationships in the series.
When I came out to my parents as genderfluid and pansexual, both laughed and mocked me, saying that I was making it up. Years after, a time full of hurt and pain, my father accepted, but my mom, oh, she completely turned around and apologizes and learns, protects and fights for me. She grew so much out of her own prejudice, and now she's my Burt.
It’s weird tho because Karofsky and Kurt are quite similar. They both dated Blaine, have both thought about committing suicide, the have both been bullied, they both thought they had a crush on a guy (Kurt and Finn and Karofsky and Kurt), they both were in the closet for a while and yes they are both gay. Quite a bit similar Btw I love this. Happy pride month 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
When i came out to my mom as bisexual she told me that she doesn't believe me, that i just need a man to fix me, and that people like me go to hell. It hurt me so bad because I was supposed to trust this woman, right? It wasn't until I came out to my best friend who is now my gf, that i didn't need her. Watching glee made me feel better about who I was. Never in my life have i related to someone more than I have with Kurt and Santana.
This video reduced me to tears. It’s official, this is my favourite video ever- Also happy pride month everyone, and happy twelve years to the gayest show ever to air National Television 🏳️🌈🌈
you can say whatever you want about glee, but if you are not a part of the community you will never understad how important this show is, happy pride month loves!
This is an amazing edit that was actually tugging at my heart strings a bit and actually made me tear up a bit. How did you make this amazing of an edit out of Glee?
One of the things I pretend most was handled better with glee was the biphobia, because it has such good rep moments other than that! And also Ryder's whole transphobic thing.
The top 2 people that I really love is Kurt and unique, i love the way they have someone to rely on and to stand up for anyone who they admire the most and love who they are
Ok, but Mr. Beiste?(Mr.Beast mdr) I did not know this was a thing and so sad I was spoiled but this is so sweet and I can't wait to see it in the show😭😭😭💔

The fact they never made Brittany say the word bi and actually come out is really upsetting

@@wankycronutsp5365 yes even before she dated Santana , she said she made out with a girl before and wasn’t ashamed

Genderfluis is biggest nonsence ever. Just like non-binary.
Just when I thought cough syrup couldn’t get any more sadder
3:06 the fact that they deleted this scene pisses me off😤 they couldve left out a lot of the scenes that happened in that episode for this scene 🙄
Agreed!😩
Santana was the best thing that happened to me as a Latina who is a lesbian she was such good representation for me :,)

It doesn't change the fact that im a natural born leader and im not afraid to cut a bitch - Santana Lopez
I just wish more parents are as accepting as Burt
