This is a video that was shot LIVE and UNEDITED and shows the creation of a real client's commissioned painting.
On a canvas of 320cm x 150cm I create an incredible, multi-colored rainbow of an abstract that closely follows the brief (from my client) after they visited the gallery and studios.
And, by the time you watch this, it will have been installed successfully in their home in London.

Hey Swarez just got a chance to come and see last night's live painting that I couldn't complete watching since it was late for me then and I love it as usual you don't cease to amaze us with your color combination in your art, also I wonder if it's just me or anyone else has noticed that the ceiling reflection has actually given it a wonderful effect with those vertical trees like lines giving an illusion of a colorful fantasy forest with shadows of long tree branches 😢 Maybe its the painting talking to you again 😂giving you signs of a new idea.

I just found you, might be a dumb question but do you use futrol as a medium for any of your acrylic paintings? I'm just starting out literally a month in and looking and watching to learn
In the two demos of me doing the paintings I am using acrylics but they’re from the tube so no Flotrol used. For my regular work I use enamel paints and Flotrol has no impact on them. I just usually use solvent paint thinners

Hello, thanks for sharing. Two questions, what is the material of the canvas itself? And what is the name of the breath piece on your face?
Hi Francois! The canvas is a 420gsm (16oz) medium weave cotton duck with a custom gesso applied at source. The breathing gear is a 3M Versaflow TR600 series with A1/A2 particulate filters for gaseous vapors. Hope that helps!

Is using enamel paints for work on canvas an idea of yours Ed/Swarez?
Does it dry the same way as is wet?
No, the idea has been around for 70 years. I just prefer them. Yes, the wet finish is much the same as when it’s dry.

Amazing! I’ve just started painting and been wondering how is the paint you use so liquid? I buy my acrylics usually in a tube and they are a bit stiff for my liking. Very inspiring!
The enamel paints I use are quite liquid anyway and then I can add solvent based thinners to it to thin it even more. Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the channel!!!
There are mediums you can buy or dilute with water also look at some videos of poured acrylic artists some tell the formula they use to dilute.

Swarez doesn't use acrylics. He uses enamels. Hence all the safety precautions ( to prevent inhalation of fumes) Acrylics can be thinned with up to 40% distilled water. Or you can use 30% water + 70% pva. Or something like floetrol paint conditioner or liquitex pouring medium. Acrylics work differently from enamels. Have a look at Olga Soby , Gilly Cube, Pricilla Batzell. They might give you some inspiration? Hope this helps? Happy creating!

I feel like I should try this method... it looks like a lot of fun 🥳🎨 ... although I am using acrylics and it will be very different. Do you finish your pieces with a coat or do these paints dry that glossy?
They always dry like this. Although I can add thinners which dulls the glossiness down. But yeah, that’s the finish that’s built into the paints. Thanks for your kind feedback.
To get the runny blending with acrylics, you can get a fine mist sprayer. Then spray your acrylics with water. I use distilled.

It's solvent-based paint thinners, nothing more. Thanks for your kind words

I use a mineral thinner for solvent paints - nothing special

No he isn't. There are plenty of far away shots to get the whole painting in
Camera man doesn’t need to zoom in as long as he has the whole canvas it’s unnecessary!
Actually, it is necessary to get al the details in and our viewers enjoy that. Sadly we don't have £10K to spend on broadcast quality cameras so we have to make do with what we can, which I think is pretty darn good.
