Dur E Fishan is a refreshing actor to watch and I really enjoyed how articulate and balanced she is in her approach to the roles she takes but also able to answer the questions candidly. So far I’ve watched all her dramas and loved her in them!🌹

I only watched the roasting of this drama on Something Haute because no way in hell i would watch toxic drama. I didnt even watch that Mere Pass something with Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan. Dur e Fishan is always on a moral high ground of picking strong characters and “women empowering roles” but her role and the drama she was in was absolutely contradicting that. She is loving her drama that was really successful commercially but as an actress she comes across a bit like a hypocrite and its so easy to justify such a controversial & quite frankly disgusting story by saying its a “true story”. Even if it was - why is there a need to show it on TV? We have already seen so many stories like it so there really is no explanation. And ill be honest the reason KTK was such a massive hit is because of one - Danish Taimoor’s popularity & two - because our audience loves toxic male hero leads trapping a damsel in distress. That’s it.

The character didn't fall in love with the abusive character but she fell in love with the kind and genuine shamsher. She always maintained that she hated the abusive shamsher I don't understand why can't people accept that people change and u can give them a chance.

This is one of the worst cases of an actor defending their highly problematic work and digesting zero amount of criticism and concerns. And overall she offers nothing new....moving on.
Sadly seems like it was about the money they can make off the back of the success of this drama. Since it was a true story makes it all the more sad how they glamorised it maybe they should take a moment to remember the real girl and family affected by this.

Sometimes our story tellers and actors project wrong of the society as good. I would love something haute to interview such drama with more serious gravity and alarming messages it is giving to society.

Honestly, more than the actors it is on the audience. I haven’t watched this drama, though I love Durre’s Acting. Agar audience na dekhay aisi toxic scripts tou actors nai krein gae aisay projects na hee production houses banayein gae aisa kuch.

I’m so disappointed by her interview : it was hard to play mehak because the character wore different clothes 🫡 literally that’s what acting is , it was a stupid script that she opted because she completely understand that toxic dramas like these are most popular , that’s the only justification

At the end of the day, she got a big project and it was going to be hit. People like toxic men story and now she is in a fix answering questions but all got what they wanted. Reminds of Fahad Mustafa dramas that he produces. Same here with Durre. She is owning it that she did it for popularity and to further her career. It’s like Dorian Gray right. Make a deal with the devil so you can get what you want. The end justifies the means.

She's all for feminism, women empowerment and against violence but proceed to do a project like KTK. Hypocrisy at it's best.

Yes ofcourse those dramas were so best even his old dramas with Sajal Aly, Saba Qamar, Yumna Zaidi, Sarah Khan was amazing but majority don't know the names of those dramas even but everybody knows Deewangi, Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi & all! I don't know why these critiques don't understand that " toxic love story" " forced marriage" and " kidnapping turned love aka Stockholm syndrome " although convey bad messages but are super hit formula in Turkey, korea , thailand ,India and Pakistani dramas ...thats what our suppressed society happily watches to go violent on their imaginations ....

The character didn't fall in love with the abusive character but she fell in love with the kind and genuine shamsher. She always maintained that she hated the abusive shamsher I don't understand why can't people accept that people change and u can give them a chance.
my dear fellow hautie watcher... the thing is people don't change this easily... the abusers, the kidnapers, and people like shamsher if, IF ever changes, scientifically speaking, they need something really big to happen to shift their behavior and plus that happen over really long period of time with assistance and rehabs etc... and here we didn't saw any of these.. Sadly seems like it was about the money they can make off the back of the success of this drama. Since it was a true story makes it all the more sad how they glamorised it maybe they should take a moment to remember the real girl and family affected by this.
I am not interested in her reasoning for doing the project they always give lame excuses. Also unpopular opinion; I don't think she is a very good actor - her diction and delivery is pretty weak. She lacks the range in expressions as well. Bring writer, producer and director on board and ask them hard-hitting questions
